Susan Stitt, 75, of Highland Rd, Kane, PA passed away Wednesday evening, July 10, 2024 at Select Specialty in Erie.

Born October 14, 1948 in Kane, She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Josephine (Ulyan) Bizzak.

On August 4, 1973 she married the love of her life Donald E. Stitt, who survives, sharing 50 wonderful years together.

Mrs. Stitt worked as a school teacher for many school districts in the surrounding area but found her home in the halls of the Johnsonburg schools, retiring in 2011.

She was a member of the St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane where she belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also an avid member of the Red Hat Society.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter Kerri (Jude) Dach; son Donald L. Stitt; two granddaughters Keira Dach and Sarah Stitt; four grandsons Gavin & Brayden Dach and PJ & Lewis Stitt; one brother Max (Barb) Bizzak; and loving nieces and nephews- Tom & Karen Haberberger, and Jamie, Brenda, and Max Bizzak.

She is preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a sister and brother- in-law, Nancy and Jerry Haberberger.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation in the gathering space at St. Callistus Catholic Church on Saturday (July 13) from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. William O’ Brien as Celebrant.

Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kane Volunteer Fire Department, St. Jude’s Foundation, St. Callistus Catholic Church or donor’s choice.
