Edna B. Mahon, 100, of Roulette, PA
Port Allegany – Edna B. Mahon, 100, of Roulette, PA died Monday (February 19, 2024) at UPMC Williamsport, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Mahon was born April 20, 1923 in, Keating Summit, PA, the daughter of Herman and Alice (Butler) Austin. On March 5, 1947, in Niagara Falls, NY, she married Leonard C. Mahon, who died on April 16, 2015.
Mrs. Mahon was a lifelong resident of Austin and Roulette and was known by many as “Gram” because of her boundless and endless love not just for her family but for anyone who came into her life. She made everyone feel special and cherished. She also had a profound love for animals who also had a place in her home. Edna was a remarkable woman of faith, strength, and resilience as she forged through many life issues. Edna also had a spunky and sassy side and would set anyone straight that she felt needed it. She has changed and touched many lives and will be forever remembered by her favorite quote “One Day at a Time”.
She is survived by: two daughters: Cheryl Shall of Neptune Beach, FL, and Kristine (Eric) Landes of Roulette, four sons: Terry (Sue) Lepold of Nottingham, PA, Leo Lepold of Texas, Donald (Rita) Mahon of Roulette, and Butch (Colleen) DeBoer of Roulette. 39 Grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, 66 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild and a special family member, Rhonda Bressan and a grandson, Kegan Mahon, who lived with “Gram” for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sons; Leonard “Tuffy” Mahon, Richard Lepold, Rocky & Gerald Mahon; two daughters, Rosanne Sherwood and Alice Burgett, along with five grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at the Coudersport Fire Hall from 2-3 PM, with services beginning at 3 PM.
