Alice M. Krieg, 90, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Taft Road, St. Marys, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on December 20, 1932 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Edward and Matilda Lecker Gerg.

On March 13, 1952, in St. Marys Church, she married the late Richard “Dick” Krieg, who preceded her in death on August 23, 2018.

Alice was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of Central High School. She was a member of the St. Marys Church and worked for a number of years at Windfall Products and the Pure Lodge. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is survived by one granddaughter; LeeAnn (Andy) Skryzpek of St. Marys, her son-in-law; Rich (Michelle) Meyer of St. Marys and by her three great-grandchildren; Jackson, Gracie, and Austin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her only daughter, Amy Krieg Meyer on August 19, 2000, and by three siblings; Edwin Gerg, Richard Gerg, and Sue Beck.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice M. Krieg will be celebrated on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Thomas More Sikora, OSB, as celebrant.

Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
