Floyd D. Williams, 78, formerly of 2544 Route 275, Richburg, NY passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Wellsville Manor Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Born on April 22, 1945, in Little Genesee, he was a son of Claude and Dorothy Emerson Williams.

Floyd had worked for various gas stations in the Bolivar area. He then worked in the disposal business for Cliff Gates, Brad Sexton, and Jim Barnes. He later worked for Neu Disposal and retired from SDS Disposal in Olean.

He was a social member of the Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion of Bolivar.

Floyd is survived by 2 sons, Floyd C. Williams of Bolivar and Lloyd H. (Patricia) Williams of Eldred; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Shirley) Williams of Hinsdale; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Janice Kennedy.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 554 S. Main Street, Bolivar, New York on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 10-11 A.M. at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. David Herne will officiate. Burial will be in Bowler Memorial Cemetery, Little Genesee, New York.
