Donna J. Kelly “loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and volunteer”
COUDERSPORT, PA—Donna Jeannette Holcomb Sheehy Kelly, 90, of Coudersport, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Tammie’s Personal Care Home, Sabinsville, after a long illness.
Born on Saturday, May 2, 1936 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Owen and Marguerite James Holcomb. On May 21, 1955, she married Robert Joseph Sheehy. On June 6, 1987, she married Joseph Robert Kelly who passed away on October 1, 2005.
Donna was a graduate of Shinglehouse High School, Class of 1954. She then attended Elmira College for nursing, later graduating in 1959 from the former St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Olean, NY, as a LPN. In 1978 she graduated from Alfred University of New York as a Registered Nurse. She was employed at the former St. Francis Hospital in Olean, the former Hewitt Manor Nursing Home in Shinglehouse, and retired from the former Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport after many years of service.
Donna was a member of God’s Country Ministries in Coudersport. She was also a member of the Coudersport Lions Club, the Coudersport Sports Boosters, and a member of the Friends of the Library in Coudersport.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Tracy S. Haskins and Katherine K. (Curt) Rudy; a son, Joseph L. (Tina) Kelly; fifteen grandchildren, Shannon Catherman, Brittany Haskins, Colt Stinger, Nathan Woodring, Kyle Woodring, Summer Butler, Breanne Dubots, Dylan Dubots, Haley Dubots, Eric Abel, Tiffany Wright, Samantha Kight, Kimberlynne Rudy, Kristopher Rudy, and Christianna Hoober; twenty great-grandchildren; a brother, Brady Holcomb; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly Ann Sheehy Stinger Dubots; two brothers, James Holcomb and Kirby Holcomb; and a sister, Rita Culllimore.
Family and friends may gather from 11am to 12 noon on Friday, November 13, 2026, at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where a celebration of Donna’s life will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Dan Brehm of God’s County Ministries, Coudersport, officiating. Burial will be in Rathbone Cemetery, Coneville, with Pastor Sally Brehm, offering prayers.
