Olean, NY     Kenneth P. “Ken” Kelly, 76, passed away peacefully Monday (September 21, 2026) at his second “home”, the campsite at the land he loved so much at Skyline Resort in Darien Center.

Ken was born in Bradford, PA on November 28, 1949 and was the son of Harry T. and Veronica Sankner Kelly, Jr.  On August 19, 1978 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, he married Denise Edel who survives.

Ken graduated from Bradford Area High School  He also attended the Pitt-Bradford campus for one year.

He was industrious by nature and began working at a young age.  He had a 47-year career for Kendall Oil Co. in Bradford, now American Refining Group prior to his retirement.

Ken had a passion for classic cars, and for watching automobile racing, especially NASCAR.  He was a charter member of the Enchanted Mountain Car Club, now the Street Masters Car Club, and served as the club’s secretary and treasurer for years.  He loved going to the Bristol race each time he could, especially when his wife’s nephew, Fred Coe, could attend with him.  Along with great friends, he also enjoyed watching and attending the races at Darlington, Daytona, and Watkins Glen.  For the last several decades to the present, he enjoyed along with his wife Denise the fun and great friends they made at their established campsite at Skyline Resort.

He leaves behind his wife, Denise; one son, Brett (whom he affectionately called his “hero”) Kelly of Olean; three brothers, Samuel Kelly, Sr. of Middletown, PA, Dennis Kelly of Aurora, CO, and Kevin (Maria) Kelly of Bradford, PA; two nephews, Samuel (Diedre) Kelly, Jr., and Alex Kelly; one niece and Goddaughter, Ashlyn Kelly; two great nieces, Nora Kelly and Sarah Kelly; three aunts, Lois Newton of Buffalo, Ruby Bleimister of West Seneca, and Shirley Barrett of Bradford, PA, and many cousins.

Denise and Brett will receive family and friends on Friday (September 25, 2026) from 9am to 10am at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am in the church.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
