Carolyn M. Setzer, age 88 of Elkland, PA passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Broad Acres in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on May 7, 1937 and was a daughter to the late Harold and Mayjol (Snay) Monroe. Carolyn came from a rather large family; she was one out of 14 children.

She worked as a home health aide in the surrounding areas, helping many who needed it the most. In her younger years she enjoyed playing guitar and singing any chance she had.

Her legacy continues on through her children; Diania Kibbe of Elkland, PA, Clifford Jr. (Michele) Setzer of Lawrenceville, PA, Gregory Setzer (Jennifer) of Elmira, NY, and Starla (Lee) Colvin of Westfield, PA; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her siblings, Cynthia Swimelar, Alan Monroe both of Westfield, PA, and Crystal Thorne of Wellsboro, PA.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 6 sisters. Family and friends are called to Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St Elkland, PA 16920 on Tuesday, April 21st from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2:00 pm with Reverend Vane Gunn officiating. She will then be laid to rest at Powers Cemetery in Lawrenceville, PA. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
