Penn College Athletics at a Glance
Last week in review: Two wins upped the regular-season unbeaten streak for the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s soccer team to 30. The Wildcats’ last regular-season loss came on Sept. 30, 2023, at Penn State Harrisburg. Since then, during regular-season matches, they have gone 23-0-7 under coach Ian Scheller.
Also, it was announced that former Williamsport Area High School and Bloomsburg University standout pitcher Amber Cower Savage is the new head softball coach. In addition to her on-field achievements, Savage has been the vice president and head coach of the Silver Bullets travel team for the past eight years.
On the horizon: This coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the college will host Wildcat Weekend with the women’s volleyball team in a tri-match starting at 11 a.m. and the women’s soccer team in action on Senior Day at 3 p.m.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Last week’s hometown highlights: At Thiel College on Wednesday, Megan Kurian of Royersford scored twice, Olivia Herman of Barto had two assists, and Ginny Yost of Lancaster got her first win in the goal. Hosting first-time foe Pitt-Greensburg on Sunday, Sierra Klinger of Herndon scored two goals.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Last week’s hometown highlights: Ellen Banfill of Mill Hall had 11 assists and Nashalie Vializ of New Holland had nine digs against Elmira College on Wednesday. At the McDaniel College Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Banfill recorded 42 assists and 14 digs, Vializ had 28 digs and Lilly Stockum of Dauphin had 33 kills to lead the team.

Finishing 1-1 in doubles was the No. 2 team of Shuler-Matt Williams of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.
