Ann M. Mongillo, 87, formerly of 51 South Kendall Avenue, Bradford, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born September 22, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret (O’Connell) Rich, Sr.
She was a 1956 graduate of Bradford Area High School, and a 1957 graduate from the Rochester Business School receiving a degree in Business.
Ann worked for 20 years as a secretary and library aide for the Bradford Area School District.

Donald R. “Dick” Hoover, 89, of South Kendall Avenue, Bradford, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born April 4, 1936, in Connellsville, he was a son of the late David R. and Elizabeth (Kemp) Hoover. He was a 1954 graduate of Connellsville High School.
On May 25, 1957, in Connellsville, he married Jo Ann (Forsythe) Hoover, who survives.

Port Allegany – Nancy L. Dougherty, 91, of Coudersport, formerly of Port Allegany, passed away Saturday (October 18, 2025) at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Port Allegany.

Ruth L. Dinnison, 98, of Wellsboro passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the home of her daughter Lianne.
Ruth was the wife of the late Hugh Dinnison, her husband of 64 years. They were married on October 18, 1947. Her passing was on what would have been their 78th anniversary.
Ruth was born on April 6, 1927, in Hawthorne, New Jersey to the late Alfred and Mildred (Goodwin) Hazelton.

Perfect conditions for runners in the Sinnemahone Ultra Trail Run. This years event included a new route eliminating most private property and having the most participants compete in the 50k since the inception of the race nearly 20 years ago. Also new was adding the option to run the 50k as a relay team.
Finishing first in the 12k was 23 year old Raul Burne from Georgia with a time of 1:04:03. Euginia Resendiz Clark from Emporium finished second with a time of 1:08:05.

Last week in review: The men’s and women’s soccer teams won both of their matches, with the women now assured of their fourth straight playoff appearance and their ninth postseason trip in the NCAA era (since 2014), while the men’s golf and women’s volleyball teams also saw action, and a women’s tennis player earned a United East Conference honor.

Participants are encouraged to schedule ahead with the Laurel Health location of their choice, but walk-ins can be accommodated. You do not have to be an established Laurel Health patient to schedule your flu vaccine at one of these drive-through clinics.

Victoria D. Culver, 74, of 5 Lang Lane, Lewis Run, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born on January 16, 1951, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Lola (English) Steck. She was a 1969 graduate of Bradford High School.
Vickie was employed at Zippo Manufacturing Company for over 20 years.

Annie M. Gilbert, 87, formerly of the Emery Towers, Bradford, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
She was born on July 5, 1938 in Campbeltown, Scotland, a daughter of the late Daniel and Jesse Coffield McKenzie.
She attended schools in Campbeltown.
Annie had an artistic side that she expressed through painting and drawing. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and she especially enjoyed getting dressed up and going shopping.

Rosezella Reiff Andrea, 97, of Rogertown, Clarendon, PA., died peacefully at her residence, Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was born July 12, 1928, in Warren, PA. Rosezella was the daughter of John and Ruth Hiller Reiff. She was a lifelong Warren area resident. Rosezella graduated from Warren High School Class of 1946 and Hoff Business School with a degree in accounting. She along with her husband, owned and operated River Road Gas Station and Restaurant, Sheffield Tavern, Tastie Freeze in Starbrick, PA., built and operated Andrea Motel and Restaurant in Tiona, PA., Hillside Restaurant, Andrea Realty & Development Company, Andrea Gas & Oil and partner in Andrea & Holden Oil. She was a member of Lakewood and Sheffield Rod & Gun Club.
