THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND THE SENIOR EXPO AND POTTER COUNTY SENIOR CENTER’S COUNTY WIDE GET-TOGETHER AT COUDERSPORT ARBORETUM ON JUNE 24TH
The public is invited to attend a SENIOR EXPO AND POTTER COUNTY SENIOR CENTER COUNTY WIDE GET-TOGETHER to be held at the Coudersport Arboretum located at 201 S West Street, Coudersport, on Monday, June 24th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Rain date will be Tuesday, June 25th. The SENIOR EXPO is sponsored by the Coudersport Arboretum Association and in collaboration with Potter County Human Services Area Agency on Aging.
This year the Potter County Senior Center’s County Wide Get-together will join the Senior Expo. Participants from the Coudersport, Galeton, Ulysses and Oswayo Valley Senior Centers will attend to visit the vendor displays, enjoy morning refreshments and a hot dog lunch and participate in games and activities.
Various agencies and businesses will set up tables displaying their services and products that assist older adults. No political campaign set-ups will be featured.
Vendors will set up along the paths that meander through the beautiful memorial Arboretum displaying a variety of flowers, trees and bushes on the historic C&PA railroad grounds. Stroll along the Honor Walk bricks inscribed in memory or tribute to loved ones and visit the Veteran’s Honor Wall while visiting vendor’s tables.
There are plenty of memorial benches throughout the Arboretum to relax and enjoy the day. Sign up for door prizes. Free morning refreshments and a hot dog lunch are sponsored by Rep. Martin Causer and Senator Cris Dush.
To date, the following vendors are signed up: Potter County Human Services Area Agency on Aging will have a table set-up with information pertaining to their services. Farm Market Nutrition Program checks, PA-MEDI Insurance Counseling, Ombudsman Program and Senior Center information will also be available. UPMC COLE will also have tables with information about their Senior Communities, Home Health, Family Hospice, Physician Referral and other services . Rep. Martin Causer’s office and Senator Cris Dush’s office will have various information available. Sweden Valley Manor, Concern Professional Services, PCHS Drug & Alcohol Program, A Way Out and VA Food Share Program. VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System will provide information and resources on Suicide Prevention. Integrated Family Hearing, Silver Maples/Oswayo Apartments, M & T Insurance Assoc., Virgil L Howard Funeral Home and Fickinger Funeral Home will all have information available. Allegheny Mountain Wellness, State Health Center, Volunteers That Care and Northern PA Regional College will be set up. Even more vendors are anticipated.
The Coudersport Arboretum Association is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. The Arboretum is maintained by volunteers, donations and grants.
