St. Marys Area United Way Elects New President and Honors Outgoing Leader

Elk County- The St. Marys Area United Way Board of Directors has elected a new president and recognized outgoing president Jim Ryan for his years of dedicated service.
As seen in the photo, Doug Bauer, United Way Vice President, presents Jim Ryan with a plaque in appreciation of his leadership and commitment as President of the St. Marys Area United Way. Jim served as president for the past two years and will continue to serve as a board member.
Doug Bauer, who currently serves as Vice President, has been elected President of the St. Marys Area United Way effective January 1, 2026. He will serve as president through December 31, 2028, alongside Bill Olson, Secretary, and board members Doug Gaffey, John Dippold, Jane Olson, Bob Ordiway, Jeff Azzato, Erica Hayes, Becky Piccolo, Rachel Rhed, Rob O’Leary, Jason Gabler, Pete Straub, Leah Whiteman, Mark Saline, and Shane Ford. The Vice-President seat is currently vacant. Barb Glatt will continue to serve as the organization’s Finance Director and Treasurer, and Jen Dippold will continue as Executive Director.
Founded in 1925, the St. Marys Area United Way has proudly served the citizens of our community for nearly a century. Contributions to the United Way provide vital support to local organizations that directly benefit families, friends, and neighbors across the area.
The 2025 campaign goal is $200,000. Thanks to the success of the 2024 campaign, the St. Marys Area United Way was able to award grants to the following organizations:

- Elkland Search & Rescue

- St. Marys Ambulance
- St. Marys Area School District
- St. Marys Public Library
- West Creek Recreational Trail
- Veterans Memorial – Eternal Flame (located on the Diamond in downtown St. Marys)
