A light snowfall is expected this evening and tonight. Despite the
expected light accumulations and initially warm road temperatures,
the precipitation will likely lead to slick roads as temperatures
dip to freezing tonight.

Everyone planning to travel this evening
and post-midnight for New Year’s Eve festivities is urged to use
extra care. Remember that bridges usually freeze before roads on
the ground. Also, since the temperatures will be within a few
degrees of freezing, a road that looks just wet may be icy.
