Ridgway, Pa. – New born lambs smell just like new born puppies, and who doesn’t love a new born puppy?  For the next couple of weeks only, Big Maple Family Farm, north of Ridgway, will open their farm to the public for “lamb snuggling”.  Grandparents, Parents, and Aunts and Uncles are encouraged to bring a youngster to the farm for a half-hour of lamb snuggling.  The youngsters might even be able to watch bottle feeding of the lambs!  Adults can snuggle the lambs, too, if they wish.

Kids love lambs and the lambs enjoy the youth.  But there is also a health benefit to lamb snuggling – lamb snuggling releases oxytocin into the bloodstream, which reduces stress, lovers blood pressure, and lowers the heart rate.  Come have some fun and help yourself or your young person with lamb snuggling.  If you do not have access to the internet, please Amanda Balon at 814-335-0804.  Amanda will also answer questions at amandabalon46@gmail.com if you are having trouble registering via the URL link above.
