PITT-BRADFORD PLANS ADMISSIONS EVENTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will hold four Saturday open houses this fall that will offer the best opportunity for students and their families to meet faculty and staff, tour campus and talk with current students all in one afternoon.
For prospective students interested in pursuing computer information systems and technology, information systems, energy science and technology or one Pitt-Bradford’s engineering options, Duke Days will focus on tours of the George B. Duke Engineering and Information Technologies Building along with its hands-on labs and makerspace. Students will have a chance to talk with faculty in those program areas and eat in the university dining hall.
Open houses begin at noon and will be held Oct. 5, Oct. 19, Nov. 2 and Nov. 16. The program ends around 3:30 p.m.
Duke Days will take place on Oct. 28, Nov. 11, Jan. 17, 2025, and Jan. 31, 2025.
“The best way to get the feel of a campus and see what it would be like to be a student there is to visit,” said Alex Nazemetz, director of admissions. “And these are great opportunities for prospective students and their families to talk with faculty and current students and get their questions answered about things ranging from meal plans to how dual-enrollment credits transfer.”
Daily visits are also available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. most weekdays and include a meal. Registration is requested for all admissions events. To register or take a virtual tour, visit upb.pitt.edu/visit-campus.
