Bradford Man Arrested For Drug Paraphernalia

Sep 11th, 2023– On 01/09/2023 the City of Bradford Police detained the defendant Patrick J. Ryan assisting US Postal Inspectors who were conducted a separate investigation. The defendant Ryan was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Those items were sent to PSP Labs for testing and substance confirmation. The test results would later come back showing the paraphernalia contained Methamphetamine and Fentanyl both Schedule II dangerous substances.
UPMC in North Central Pa. Welcomes Enrollment Navigator
Wellsboro, Pa., September 12, 2023 – UPMC welcomes Jennifer Easton, enrollment navigator, to the north central Pennsylvania region. Jennifer will serve as a community outreach and education specialist for UPMC Cole, UPMC Wellsboro, and the surrounding communities.

Painting the Holidays With Jessie
Painting with Jessie is fun and relaxing! In this holiday series, professional watercolorist Jessie Vaughn will teach you how to paint beautiful holiday plaques or Christmas cards. No previous experience in watercolors is needed, as Jessie is comfortable teaching all levels.
Choose one of the following 1.5-hour classes (or sign up for more than one!):

- Leaves with Thanksgiving sayings – Plaque size 8” x 16”
- Fall leaves – Frameable 8” x10” or 11”x 14”
- Christmas saying – Plaque 8” x16”
- Selection of 4 Christmas cards you can paint
All plaques and prints are unframed, but Jessie will help you wax them to preserve them. All are sized to fit frames available from Amazon, Walmart, Michaels, etc.
Class times are Wednesday, October 25th from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m., 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., or Thursday, October 26th from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. The cost is $25/person for each class, and all supplies are provided. PennDOT McKean County Maintenance Work Schedule for the Week of September 11

Bridge Maintenance & Cleaning
- Route 346 in Bradford Township. Monday, September 11, through Wednesday, September 13.
Pennsylvania has some of the oldest bridges in the country, with their average age being more than 50 years. Preventive maintenance is important in extending the life of the structures. As such, PennDOT maintenance crews perform some bridge deck patching and structural repairs.
STEP DANCING TAKES CENTER STAGE AT PITT-BRADFORD PERFORMANCE

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will bring the energetic Black tradition of “stepping” to the Bromeley Family Theater on Sept. 13.
StepAfrika! Is the first professional company dedicated to stepping, and it combines this dance tradition with live music, technology and storytelling. UPMC Welcomes New Medical Leadership to UPMC Cole
COUDERSPORT, Pa., Sept. 11, 2023 – UPMC welcomes Perry Doan, D.O., F.A.C.E.P., as the new medical director for Emergency Services at UPMC Cole, 1001 E. 2nd St., Coudersport.

Dr. Doan received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pennsylvania. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Louise M. Goodman, 69, of 442 Kansas Branch Road, Duke Center, PA

Louise M. Goodman, 69, of 442 Kansas Branch Road, Duke Center, PA passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at her residence with her husband by her side after a long struggle with Alzheimer disease.
Born June 16, 1954, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Marvin J. and Donna M. (Berlin) Uhl.
Louise was a 1972 graduate of Bradford High School.
On December 11, 1976, in the Sawyer United Methodist Church, she married Ronald A. Goodman who survives.
James H. Master, Sr., 81, of Smethport, PA

James H. Master, Sr., 81, of Smethport, PA passed away Monday (September 11, 2023) at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Smethport, surrounded by his family.
He was born September 21, 1941 in Coudersport, the son of Harold and Gladys (Hayes) Master. On June 11, 1960, in Indiana, PA, he married Donna J. Berg, who survives.
Jim worked for Quaker State up through their buyout by International Waxes in Farmers Valley.

Smethport – Gail M. Wilson, 73, of Mount Jewett, PA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday (September 9, 2023) at her home.
She was born December 6, 1949 in Clearfield, PA, the daughter of Ralph and Madelyn (Buck) Graham. She has been together with Richard Anderson, Jr. of Mt. Jewett for many years.
Gail was a graduate of Clearfield Area Schools and was the sleep lab coordinator at Bradford Regional Medical Center in Bradford, PA.

Marie M. Barnard, 69, of 53 W. Corydon Street, Bradford, PA passed away, peacefully, Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Born on January 28, 1954, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Robert O. and Ellen “Mary” (Hopkins) Barnard. She was a 1972 graduate of Bradford High School.
Marie worked as a Residential Program Worker at Evergreen Elm, and prior to that at Woolworth Department Store for 20 years.
Constance Elizabeth BUYSER, 75, of Friendship, NY, formerly of Gloucester County, NJ

Constance Elizabeth BUYSER, 75, of Friendship, NY, formerly of Gloucester County, NJ, died Saturday, September 9, 2023 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.
Born September 26, 1947, in Glassboro, NJ, she was the daughter of Harry J. and Elizabeth Mack Stevenson. She was married to John R. Buyser, who predeceased her in 1995.
She was employed as a home health aide for 20 years. Constance was a fan-fiction writer and an astrologer, having her own radio show in Delaware. She made lots of friends and touched the lives of many, no matter where she lived.
