Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in McKean County the week of May 20. PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in McKean County for the coming week is as follows:

Bridge Maintenance & Cleaning

• Various routes throughout the county. Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24. This work takes place off the roadway and has minimal, if any, traffic impact.

Pennsylvania has some of the oldest bridges in the country, with an age of more than 50 years on average. Preventive maintenance is vital in extending the life of the structures. As such, PennDOT maintenance crews perform some bridge deck patching and structural repairs.

Cold in Place Recycling

• Route 1009 (Bell Run Road) between the intersections of Route 44 and the McKean/Potter County line in Ceres Township. Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours.

• Spa Night returns on Thursday, May 23 from 5 – 8:00 pm.  Cover is $10.00, spa services, including Reflexology, Foot Detox, Massage, and Facials, are an extra fee.  Refreshments served.  For more information, please call the co-op at 814-274-8165.
• Quilters, Brenda Bonczar and Lilly Ingalls, are teaching a two-day Sewing Class, for students 9 and up, on June 10 and 13 from 10:30 till noon. Students will be making a small patchwork tote bag.   Necessary materials provided, including sewing machines. The price of the class is $40.00.  Please call the Potter County Artisan Co-op to register, at (814) 274-8165.

Bradford, PA – The Bradford Hospital Foundation (BHF), the fundraising organization of Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC), presented a scholarship to a local aspiring nurse on Friday, May 10. The future nurse was awarded the Benjamin O. and Blanche Wentworth Endowed Nurse Scholarship.

The foundation proudly presented the $1,000 scholarship to Emily Morgan of Bradford, PA.  

Belmont, NY –  The Allegany County Democrats collected 12 bags/boxes of non-perishable food and personal care items when they met recently in Little Genesee. The goods were donated to the Bolivar Food Pantry located at the Community Center of the Little Genesee 7^th Day Baptist Church. This service project is one of the ways the Democratic Committee lives its motto: “Serving our Community”.

Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in designing, defining, and planning manufacturing processes. You’ll be responsible for specifying and overseeing the installation of new processes, planning equipment build schedules, and monitoring vendor progress. Your expertise will contribute to recommending equipment, method, and layout changes to optimize manufacturing procedures and processes. Moreover, you’ll work on improving current processes through continual analysis of labor, equipment, and processing costs.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in manufacturing methods/processes

Familiarity with PLC programming

Knowledge of CAD, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering

Excellent creative, advisory, instructional, communication, and problem-solving skills

Education:

4-year bachelor’s degree preferred

Specific Education/ Experience:

2-4 year engineering degree, plus 3 to 5 years of manufacturing work experience. Candidates with Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering degrees are preferred.

Specific Skills and/or Experience with Software, Equipment, etc.:

MS Office, Autocad, Solidworks, Fanuc Robots, RSLogix, AB Panelbuilder, CTC HMI, Compumotor. Experience with equipment such as ultrasonic and vibration welding, automated vision, and electrical testing is desired.
