PA Wilds Center Launches 2026 Storytelling Initiative

In Collaboration With Regional Partners
A new regional storytelling initiative focused on highlighting the landscapes, small towns, and outdoor recreation experiences that define the Pennsylvania Wilds while supporting sustainable tourism and strengthening rural economies launched today.
Led by the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship (PA Wilds Center), this initiative is being developed in collaboration with regional destination marketing organizations and other tourism partners across the PA Wilds footprint. Together, these partners are working to ensure the stories shared reflect the full breadth of the region: from public lands and water trails to local businesses and rural communities.
The initiative emphasizes intentional, place-based storytelling that reflects real experiences in the PA Wilds: exploring public lands responsibly, spending time in small towns, and connecting outdoor recreation with the people and places that make the region unique.
“Rather than relying on high-volume promotional campaigns, the PA Wilds is investing in a small number of professional creator partnerships to help document and share these stories in thoughtful, authentic ways,” said Ta Enos, PA Wilds Center Founder & CEO. “The content produced will support ongoing destination marketing efforts and help inspire longer stays, deeper exploration, and meaningful connections across the region. We are looking forward to collaborating with our tourism partners across the region to develop itineraries that highlight the hidden gems and amazing assets this region has to offer.”
As part of this initiative, the PA Wilds Center is currently accepting proposals for a limited number of paid creator partnerships in 2026, focused on:
- Experiencing the PA Wilds
- Hiking the PA Wilds
- Paddling the PA Wilds

This project was financed by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development. This work supports Visit PA’s Great American Getaway initiative and aligns with the PA Wilds Center’s efforts to elevate the Pennsylvania Wilds as a premier outdoor destination while inspiring stewardship of the places and communities that make it special.
