Linda K. Lewis, 72, a longtime resident of Smethport, PA
“beloved wife, mother, and grandmother”
SMETHPORT, Pa.—Linda K. Lewis, 72, a longtime resident of Smethport, PA passed away unexpectedly in her home on Friday, December 30, 2022.
Born on Tuesday, November 14, 1950 in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Charles and Lorena Ford Pratt. On September 8, 1984 in the Smethport United Methodist Church, she married Ronald William “Mike” Lewis, who survives.
Linda was a graduate of Eldred High School. She had been employed by Backus Company in Smethport for many years holding many different positions until retiring due to ill health.
Linda enjoyed crocheting, camping. and spending time on her tablet—playing games and Facebooking. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving besides her husband of 38 years are three sons, Ronald L. (Vanessa) Scutt of Smethport, John L. (Marnie) Scutt of Shinglehouse, and Gary K. (Sheryle) Scutt of McClure; eight grandchildren, Jenna, Rona, Courtney, Emily, Gabriel, Levi, Collin, and Eric; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (Jerry) Daniels of Hope Mills, NC; an uncle, Kenneth (Teresa) Ford of Shinglehouse; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her stepmother, Agnes “Aggie” Pratt, who raised Linda and also raised Linda’s three sons. She was also predeceased by five brothers, Charles Pratt Jr., James Pratt, Joseph Pratt, Timothy Pratt, and George Pratt; a sister, Debbie Moyer; and several aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may call from 12 noon to 1pm on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Bell Run Union Church, Taylor Brook Road, Shinglehouse, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 1pm with Pastor Chad E. Shaffer, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Smethport.

Linda’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
