Gasbarre Donates $7,000 to St. Marys Area United Way
Elk County, PA — Alex Gasbarre, CEO; Mark Saline, President of Gasbarre Thermal Processing Systems; and Ben Gasbarre, Executive Vice President of Sales, presented a $7,000 donation to St. Marys Area United Way representatives, including President Jim Ryan, Vice President Doug Bauer, and Corporate Campaign Chair Doug Gaffey. This generous contribution will directly support the organization’s ambitious 2024 fundraising goal of $220,000, enabling vital programs that address critical needs in health, education, and welfare within the community. Notably, Mark Saline, who has served as a dedicated board member of St. Marys Area United Way for several years, exemplifies the strong partnership between Gasbarre and the local community.
St. Marys is home to Gasbarre’s state-of-the-art 150,000-square-foot furnace manufacturing facility, complemented by offices in Livonia, MI, and Cranston, RI, which provide sales, service, and engineering support to regional customers. Headquartered in DuBois, PA, Gasbarre operates manufacturing facilities in DuBois, St. Marys, and Olanta, PA. Since its founding in 1973, Gasbarre has grown from its original powder compaction press technologies to include industrial furnaces, precision tooling, and automation integration. With a steadfast commitment to its employees, product diversification, and technological advancements, Gasbarre has established itself as a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the North American market, exporting 20% of its products worldwide. Today, Gasbarre employs 180 people across five locations in three states to serve its domestic and international customers.

The funds raised during St. Marys Area United Way’s 2024 campaign will be distributed to eligible nonprofit organizations in 2025. These organizations address a wide range of community needs, including health, education, and human welfare initiatives. To qualify for funding, nonprofits must:
- Hold 501(c)(3) nonprofit status,
- Operate within the St. Marys Area School District,
- Align their mission with health and human welfare initiatives, and
- Be registered with the PA State Bureau of Charitable Organizations or have an exemption.
