Drink in the Backdoor View with New PA Wilds-Themed Wine from Elk Mountain Winery

WEEDVILLE, PA – Pennsylvania Wilds-based business Elk Mountain Winery has partnered with the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship to release a new PA Wilds-themed wine: Backdoor View.
This sweet white blend is available for a limited time at Elk Mountain Winery’s shop in Weedville, as well as available for direct shipping on their website. Visitors to the winery can also enjoy a sample of it for free during regular winery hours or special tasting events.
“Whether people are visiting the area or get to live here full-time, the Pennsylvania Wilds branding is something that our customers connect with,” said Amy Auman of Elk Mountain Winery. “Our winery in Weedville is in quintessential PA Wilds territory: in the heart of Elk Country, where we’re able to see the beautiful rolling hills and majestic elk in our own backyard. The PA Wilds logo features that iconic elk, and it lets customers know that we’re proud to live and work in this rural region.”
The label of the new Backdoor View wine features the green trees and gentle mountainside that can be seen from the rear door of the Elk Mountain Winery itself. The label shows the serenity of the area, and the flavor of the wine is a natural crowd-pleaser. Sweet white wines are some of the most popular bottles that Elk Mountain Winery sells.
“If you’re looking to bring something local to a dinner party or as a gift for a friend but aren’t sure what they like, a white wine that is on the sweeter side is usually a safe choice,” Auman said. “A wine like this is always appreciated at a party or gathering, and the label is a great conversation starter that showcases the wild beauty of our region. Lots of customers say, ‘Wow, I wish that was what the view looked like from my back door!’”
A portion of proceeds from each bottle of Backdoor View sold will help support the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship’s mission to integrate conservation and economic development in a way that strengthens and inspires communities in the Pennsylvania Wilds.
“If you have a home or camp in the PA Wilds, you probably treasure being able to see the beauty of nature literally from your back door,” said Ashley Fosbrink-Horrell, Value Chain Manager for the PA Wilds Center. “This wine celebrates the fact that, here in the PA Wilds, breathtaking views are just steps from your door. Whether you’re enjoying a glass of Backdoor View at Elk Mountain Winery’s location along Bennetts Valley Highway or taking home a bottle to sip on your back porch, you’ll appreciate not only the flavor but also the fact that this wine helps support our PA Wilds Center’s mission and other rural entrepreneurs.”
