November 14 – The Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation is gearing up for its annual day of giving, Cattaraugus Gives, with a prize pool exceeding $21,000.

Scheduled for December 3, Cattaraugus Gives has become a vital initiative to encourage community-wide support for local nonprofits. This year’s  prize pool is expected to drive even greater participation and amplify the impact for nonprofits serving Cattaraugus County.

Last year, participating nonprofits raised over $305,000 for their respective causes during the day.

Confirmed prizes for Cattaraugus Gives to date are as follows:

·         The Cutco Corporation Overall Most Donors Top Prize (sponsored by Cutco Corp.) – $2,500 for the organization receiving gifts from the most donors overall during Cattaraugus Gives

·         The SolEpoxy Overall Most Donors Second Prize (sponsored by SolEpoxy) – $1,500 for the organization receiving gifts from the second most donors during Cattaraugus Gives

·         The Kaleigh Wilday Fund Youth Enrichment Prize (sponsored by the Kaleigh Wilday Endowment Fund) – $500 for the youth enrichment organization or organization offering youth enrichment programming that receives the most donors

·         The Eager Beaver Prize (sponsored by Morgan Stanley) – $500 for the organization receiving donations from most donors between 12 and 1 a.m. during Cattaraugus Gives.

·         Gift Card Drawing (Sponsored by Villaggio) – Donors that give $100 or more between 12 and 1 a.m. will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Villaggio Gift Card. CRCF will contact the winning donor by email to work out exchange of the gift card.

·         Petruzzi Insurance Power Hour (sponsored by Petruzzi Insurance Agency) –  $500 prize for the organization receiving gifts from the most donors between 6 and 7 a.m.

·         Rocket Cup Coffee Rise and Shine Raffle (sponsored by Rocket Cup Coffee) – Donors that give $50 or more between 6 and 7 a.m. will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Rocket Cup Coffee Gift Card. CRCF will contact the winning donor by email to work out exchange of the gift card.

·         Breakfast Hour Golden Ticket (sponsored by Hedley Brook Agency) – $250 random drawing prize for an organization receiving any donation between 7 and 8 a.m.

·         Donor by Dawn Prize (sponsored by SolEpoxy) – $500 prize for the organization receiving gifts from the most donors between 7 and 8 a.m.

·         Bank is Open Prize (sponsored by Community Bank) – $500 prize for the organization receiving gifts from the most donors between 8 and 9 a.m.

·         Golden Ticket Prize (sponsored by Both, Branch and Hendrix) – $250 random drawing of organizations receiving a donation between 8 and 9 a.m.

·         Power Hour Prize (sponsored by Weed Ross) – $500 prize for the organization receiving gifts from the most donors between 9 and 10 a.m.

·         Golden Ticket Prize (sponsored by Focus Physical Therapy) – $100 random drawing prize for an organization receiving any donation between 9 and 10 a.m.

·         Morning Golden Ticket Prize (sponsored by Buffamante Whipple and Buttafaro) – $250 random drawing prize of organizations receiving a donation between 10 and 11 a.m.

·         Golden Ticket Prize (sponsored by Fox Financial) – $250 random drawing prize for an organization receiving any donation between 11 p.m. and 11:59 p.m., the final hour of Cattaraugus Gives.

·         Last Chance Hourly Prize (sponsored by SolEpoxy) – $500 prize for the organization receiving gifts from the most donors between 11 and 11:59 p.m.

·         CRCF Big Donor Match – the first 15 gifts of $100 or more during Cattaraugus Gives will be match at $100 by the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation

·         Big Donor Prize –  $1,000 for the organization receiving the most gifts of $100 or more

·         Big Donor Prize (Second Place) – $500 for the organization receiving the second-most gifts of $100 or more

·         Big Donor Prize (Third Place) – $250 for the organization receiving the third-most gifts of $100 or more

·         Fundraising Champion Prize – $500 for the organization with the peer-to-peer fundraiser that raises the most during Cattaraugus Gives

·         Social Media Champion Prize – $500 for the organization with the best social media campaign during Cattaraugus Gives, as chosen by the CRCF marketing committee

·         Social Media Champion (Second Place) – $250 for the organization with the second-best social media campaign during Cattaraugus Gives, as chose by the CRCF marketing committee

All prizes are subject to change. Offline donations will count only towards the overall prizes for most donors and the Big Donor Prize. Offline donations will not count towards any time-based prizes. Organizations can receive a maximum of two prizes. If an organization is chosen initially as a winner of more than two prizes, the organizations will receive the two prizes with the highest dollar amounts.

“Each year, Cattaraugus Gives showcases the immense generosity of our community,” said Kirk Windus, CRCF executive director and former Cattaraugus Gives coordinator. “With over $21,000 in prizes, gift cards and signed Buffalo sports memorabilia this year, we are thrilled to create an even greater incentive for giving and to further invigorate our local nonprofits.”

Any changes to the prize list will be reflected at cattaraugusgives.org/prizes. Registration for nonprofits is still open at cattaraugusgives.org/register.
