Coudersport PSP Seeking Information For Trespass In Galeton Borough


On 09/19/2023 at approximately 0707 hrs Jacqueline Horton was observed walking East on Main Street in the roadway. Horton is observed stopping nearing Chestnut Street and Main Street where she approaches the fall decorations placed by the Zonta Club recently for Pumpkin Fest.
Horton is seen conversing with a scarecrow and then dismantles it piece by piece stealing the clothing and scattering straw throughout the sidewalk area.
City officers located Horton not far from the scene and arrested her for theft, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.
Horton is currently on adult probation in McKean County for past offenses.
Magistrate Luther arraigned her on $10,000 cash bail and remanded her to McKean County Jail. Preliminary hearings are set in the matter.

On September 17th, 2023 at approximately 8:20 PM, Cuba Police arrested Anetta N. Barrett (37) of Franklinville. Barrett was arrested on a bench warrant for violation of probation.
Barrett was processed, placed in front of a judge and sent to the Allegany County Jail. Barrett is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of Law.

Wellsville Police arrested Dominica R. Howells, age 24, of Cuba, charging her with Criminal Mischief 3rd (Class E Felony) and Grand Larceny 4th (Class E Felony). The charges stem from an incident that took place on Chamberlain Street in July.
Howells was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Howells was released under pre-trial release conditions with the Allegany County Probation Department. Howells is due back in Wellsville Village Court on October 3rd of 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested Zeldeth Hemmer, age 56, of Wellsville, charging her with Criminal Mischief 2nd (Class D Felony) and Public Lewdness (Class B Misdemeanor). The charges stem from an incident that took place on Howard Street on July 3rd.
Hemmer was also charged with another count of Criminal Mischief 2nd (Class D Felony) for an incident that took place on August 29th. Hemmer was processed and arraigned before Town of Wellsville Justice Graves. Hemmer was released and Hemmer is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on October 17th at 4:30 pm.

(BRADFORD, Pennsylvania, September 15, 2023): District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that, on September 14, 2023, local police partnered with County and State law enforcement for a second saturation patrol in the Bradford area.

The McKean County District Attorney’s Office along with the McKean County Detectives, McKean County Drug Task Force, Agents with the Attorney General’s Office, McKean County Adult Probation, McKean County Sheriff’s Department, Bradford Township Police, Pennsylvania State Police-Lewis Run, State Parole, Homeland Security, Warren County Detective, City of St. Mary’s Police Dept., Emporium Borough Police Dept., Clarion Borough Police Dept. and K9s with McKean County Detective K9 Unit, City of Bradford K9, and Warren County Detective K9 joined City of Bradford Police in a joint detail in our area last night. They were assisted by McKean County Emergency Services, McKean County 911 Center, McKean County Jail, and Foster Township.
The purpose of the detail was to pursue drug offenses and locate those intending to deliver drugs as well as to locate individuals wanted on outstanding warrants or wanted for extradition.
On 09/14/2023 at approximately 1850 hrs., City of Bradford Police and EMS were dispatched to the Foreman Street bridge near Arby’s for a pedestrian versus motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, Police located an elderly male who was staying at the Holiday Inn Express had been struck and was lying in the roadway. EMS arrived on the scene to provide care however the 84-year-old male identified as Jesse Meridith from Louisiana succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of death was ruled “blunt force trauma”.
The adult male driver of the motor vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Pennsylvania State Police forensic investigators and crash investigators were called to the scene for specific mapping and photography. The investigation is open and ongoing.
City of Bradford Police were also assisted on the scene by the McKean County District Attorney’s Office, Bradford City EMS and Fire Department as well as Coroner Cahill’s Office.
