Dept 5,6,25,26, Wellsboro medics dispatched for a reported motor vehicle accident one vehicle versus a deer. Rescue 6-8 and Chief 6-30 responded and got on the scene and gave a report and established command. Crew went to work to assess for injuries. Command recalled dept 5. Crews found one vehicle, one patient with minor injuries. Sabinsville ambulance got on scene and transported the patient. Fire crews remained on scene to direct traffic until psp and whites rollback got on scene. All units went back into service at 21:54.

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) today released its annual Thanksgiving Holiday Crash and Enforcement report. During the Thanksgiving travel period of November 22–26, PSP investigated 979 vehicle crashes resulting in four fatalities. Alcohol was a factor in 73 crashes.
Troopers arrested 542 individuals for driving under the influence and issued more than 10,000 speeding citations over the five-day holiday weekend. Troopers also issued 1,187 citations for failing to wear a seat belt and 133 citations for not securing children in safety seats.

On November 24, 2023 the Wellsville Police Department arrested Matthew J. Saunders, age 34, from Wellsville on numerous charges following multiple investigations.
Saunders was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell in the 5th degree for selling quantities of methamphetamine to agents of the Wellsville Police Department.
Wellsville Police arrested Shane M. Kelleher, age 54 of Wellsville, charging him with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd (Class A Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Use Leased/Rented/Loaned vehicle without Interlock (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Speed not Reasonable & Prudent (Infraction) and No/Inadequate Lights (Infraction).
The charges stem from an incident that started on Scott Avenue in the Village that ended in a motor vehicle crash on the Buck Farm Road in the Town of Wellsville. Kelleher was issued an appearance ticket at the scene and released. Kelleher is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on December 19th at 4:30 pm.
