Criminal Mischief Investigation In Shippen Twp.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Franklinville man was killed in a tree trimming incident on Saturday morning, according to New York State Police.
Police responded to Elm Street in Franklinville just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday, where 43-year-old Justin Howard was on a boom lift that tipped over while he was trimming a tree.
Howard was conscious and alert when police were on scene and was transported to ECMC, but he died from his injuries.

Jovan Hall, age 32, of 409 Laurens St., Olean, was arrested for selling Crack Cocaine by the Patrol unit yesterday at approximately 4: 00 p.m..
Hall was taken into custody on an outstanding Indictment warrant charging him with 2 counts each of Criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd, degree and Criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd. degree ( B Felonies ).
Hall was located on Laurens St. and brought to the Olean Police Department for booking procedures and later taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail to await arraignment. This arrest is a result of a Street Crimes Unit investigation.

Wellsville Police arrested Priscilla J. Armstrong, age 41 of Wellsville, charging her with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor).
The charge stems from an incident that took place on South Brooklyn Avenue.
Armstrong was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Armstrong is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on May 21st at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested Devon C. O’Hara, age 29 of Wellsville, for failure to appear in Wellsville Village Court on December 5th on a previous Petit Larceny Charge.
O’Hara was additionally charged with Bail Jumping 3rd (Class A Misdemeanor) and Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor) while being taken into custody on the Bench Warrant. O’Hara was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. O’Hara was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $2,000.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 property bond or $20,000.00 partially secured bond. O’Hara is due back in Wellsville Village Court on May 21st at 4:30 pm.
On May 14th, 2024 at approximately 2025 hrs, City of Bradford Police apprehended Lynsey A. Brown on North Bennett Street. Brown was a wanted fugitive out of New York State on felony theft charges. Magistrate Engman arraigned Brown and remanded her to McKean County Jail on $100,000 cash bail. Brown will await extradition back to New York to face charges.


On May 14th, 2024, at approximately 9:30AM, following an investigation by the Cuba Police Department Narcotics Unit, Cuba Police arrested Brady M. Smith (32) of Olean, NY. Smith was arrested after a Grand Jury issued an indictment warrant on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th ( 2 Counts, Felonies) and criminal sale of a controlled substance 5th (2 Counts, Felonies). Smith was processed, and sent to the Allegany County Jail on no bail. Smith is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These charges stem from the alleged sale of methamphetamine in the Town and Village of Cuba. The Narcotics Unit was assisted by the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and the Olean Police Department.
