Vehicle Vs House Crash On S. Main St. In Union City Borough

On July 29, 2024 at 4:09 P.M., Troopers out of SP Olean responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of State Route 417 and Fischer Lane in the town of Portville.

Investigation determined that a 2008 Dodge was traveling eastbound on State Route 417 when a 2014 Kia entered the roadway northernly from Fischer Lane. The Dodge struck the Kia on State Route 417.
The operator of the Kia, Clemendina M. Gaylor, 65 of Portville, NY was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator and passenger of the Dodge were transported to Olean General Hospital in stable condition.
The NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation.

On July 27, at 3:39 pm Kane Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to 54 Weaver Ln. for an atv accident the patient is still in the woods.

Donna G. Davault, 79, of Euclid Avenue, Bradford, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born August 16, 1944, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Louise (Patterson) Case. She was a 1962 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On July 31, 2021, she married Denny M. Culver, who survives.
Donna enjoyed being a stay at home mom, and formerly worked at Dresser Manufacturing, Zippo, Walmart in the Pharmacy, and at Value Home Center.
Donna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Club, and the VFW.
At 2:51 pm, July 15, the Knapp Creek Fire Dept was called for an MVA, a car hit a house. Upon arrival, we learned that the vehicle was actually inside of the house, with the driver trapped inside.

Due to the quick response of our neighboring departments and the expertise of the Allegany- Westons Mills Tech Rescue team, along with the assistance of the City of Olean and Port Allegany Structural Collapse teams, the occupant of the vehicle was extricated safely and the vehicle removed without incident.
The building, although damaged beyond occupancy, was stabilized to prevent total collapse.The Knapp Creek Fire Dept would like to extend a huge Thank You to every department that was there to assist in any capacity.
Wellsville Police arrested Jaden I.B. Jackson, age 20 of Wellsville, charging him with Making a Terroristic Threat (Class D Felony), Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor) and Harassment 2nd (Violation). The charges stem from an incident that took place on South Main Street. Jackson was processed and transported to the Allegany County Jail pending arraignment in the Allegany County Centralized Arraignment Parts Court (CAP). Jackson was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $4,000.00 cash bail or $25,000.00 property bond or $50,000.00 partially secured bond. Jackson is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on July 16th at 3:30 pm.
