Joanne Graziano Anderson, 80, of Warren, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 26, 2023.
She was born in Warren, PA, on December 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Mary Scalise Graziano.
Joanne was a graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1961. She then graduated in 1964 from Clarion University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. Joanne taught at Irvinedale Elementary School from 1964-1968.
She then became a stay-at-home mom until 1975 when she started teaching at St. Joseph Catholic School, retiring after 24 years. She loved the kids and was also a coordinator for preparing the children for Reconciliation and the First Holy Eucharist. While a teacher at St. Joe’s she was Eucharistic Minister for 16 years.
On November 27, 1965, she married the love of her life Paul E. Anderson Jr., in St. Joseph R.C. Church, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2002.
Joanne loved talking to people and could pick up a conversation with a total stranger, and still act like they were her best friend. She had many wonderful friends throughout her life. She enjoyed going out for lunches or just simply talking with them. She enjoyed traveling, one of her special trips was to Italy to see where her roots had started.
Her best vacations were one’s she took with her family. Every year for 30 some years they went to the beaches of Delaware and have many great memories. After retiring she was involved with outside activities, volunteering for hospice, Pastoral Council, College Club, and a member of the local Moose Club.
She is survived by her children Jeni Sherrard and husband Mike (her # 1 Son-in Law) of Warren, PA and Cheryl Anderson of Delaware; Grandsons, Kurt and Emyle Sherrard, and Sammy Sherrard (the loves of her life); nephews, Jim and Cindy Graziano, Joe and Lisa Graziano, John Graziano, Jerry and Tracy Graziano, Paul and Debbie Slagle, and John Martin Jr.; great nephews Joey Graziano, Paul and Laura Slagle, and Shawn and Mandy Slagle; two great nieces, Kaitlyn and Anna Graziano.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her brother, Jim Graziano; granddaughter Lexi Sherrard; sister-in-law Ada “Punkie” Slagle; and her in laws Paul E. Anderson Sr. and Ada Anderson

Anthony M. “Tony” Kisko, 70, of Port Allegany, PA passed away on Thursday (May 25, 2023). He was born April 22, 1953, the son of the late William H. Kisko and the late Nevada Kisko Higley.
Tony loved fishing and hunting using his Grandfather Kisko’s hunting rifle. He and his brothers brought home many rabbits and squirrels for their mother to cook. He loved music, and enjoyed strumming on his guitar as a young person. He enjoyed nature shows and western reruns on TV. He had a quiet and sweet nature, and could keep up with any conversation. Tony’s working career was primarily in construction.
Anthony is survived by three sons, Jamie (Dannelle) Kisko of Port Allegany, Justin (Heather) Kisko of Smethport, and Jason (Carrie) Kisko of Concord, N.C.; three brothers and three sisters, Ann DeHaven (Phil) Smith of Port Allegany, Barbara (Garry) Hoch of Bradford, Joseph Kisko of Smethport, William (Teresa) Kisko Jr. of Mainesburg, Melinda Teats and Kim Kisko, both of Smethport; and he leaves three grandsons, four granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

Susan E. Bogart, 74, of Emporium, PA passed away at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Friday (May 26, 2023) morning following a lengthy illness. She was born January 23, 1949 in Mineola, New York a daughter of the late Frederick and Jane Lockard Haupert. On February 1, 1969 in St. Mark Catholic Church she married William H. Bogart, who survives.
Susan graduated from Fox Lane High School in Bedford, NY and attended Robert Morris College. She spent many years helping her husband establish and manage his business while being an homemaker. She worked as a secretary for Malizia Law Firm and retired from the Cameron County School District after 21 years of service as the administrative secretary. Susan enjoyed spending her time as an avid participant in her children’s activities throughout the years, such as serving as a Girl Scout leader, volunteering in their classrooms, and being a dedicated spectator throughout their different sports and activities.Her legacy was being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband William; daughter, Christy Bennett (Mark), Emporium; son, Matthew Bogart (Christine), Amherst, NY; daughter, Angela Ranous (James), Apex, NC; three grandchildren: Breydan, Emma and Carter and a sister, Meta Haupert, Atlanta, GA
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Barry Dean Bogart.

Doris M. Woelfel, 90, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 25, 2023 with her family by her side following a lengthy illness. She was born on February 12, 1933 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta Eckert Wolfe. On August 30, 1952, she married the late Wray H. “Lucky” Woelfel, who preceded her in death on September 23, 1993. Together they shared more than 40 years of marriage. Doris was a lifelong member of Queen of the World Church, and was also active with the Rosary Altar Society and the St. Ann’s Society. She loved playing cards and cherished her family more than anything. Her grandchildren were the light and love of her life. Doris loved cooking, canning, and baking. She will be fondly remembered as a loving, kind, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Doris is survived by her six children; Kenneth (Ann) Woelfel of St. Marys, Robert (Judy) Woelfel of Kersey, Deborah (James) Dellaquila of St. Marys, Donna (John) Gerber of St. Marys, Nancy (Duane) Bucher of St. Marys and Janice Woelfel of St. Marys; along with a close family friend, Linda Friedl of St. Marys, as well as by her 16 beloved grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Regina M. “Mae” Wolfe, 74, of Coal Hollow Road, Kersey, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born on November 18, 1948 in Ridgway, PA, a daughter of the late Theodore and Katherine Cuneo Wonderly.
On May 13, 1971, she married the late Walter “Butch” Wolfe, who preceded her in death.
Mae was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of St. Marys Area High School. Over the years, she was active in the community with the Fox Twp. Lions Club, Cub Scouts, and the Fox Twp. Ambulance Board. In 1990, she was recognized as the Fox Township Person of the Year. She was also an active member of the Fox Twp. Fireman’s Auxiliary, and served for more than 35 years as the secretary for the Tri-County Fire School. She also drove school bus for many years, always enjoying seeing the kids every day. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with friends at the Senior Center.
She is survived by three children; Jamie (Rena) Wolfe of Kersey, Jessie Wolfe of Kersey, and Josie “Cooter” (Nichole) Wolfe of Missouri; by six grandchildren; Kyle, Casey, Cody, Cory, Kolby, and Kelvin and by two great-grandchildren; Paisley and Enzo.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mae was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Bridget Wolfe, five brothers; Leroy Krise, Clarence Krise, Claire Krise, Kenneth Krise, and Robert Wonderly, and by a sister; Helen Koppenhaver.

Pamela Ann “Pam” Johnson, 73, of Ridgway, died on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Forbes Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born on January 1, 1950, in Kane, a daughter of the late John and Marie Richardson Trimble.
Pam was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and a graduate of Ridgway High School. She worked her life in the graphite industry. Pam had a heart full of love and was involved in numerous programs caring for the local children.
She is survived by a son, Michael Johnson of Ridgway and his father Tom Johnson, a daughter, Billie Jo Trimble (Chris Biggie) of Dubois, 2 sisters, Sandy Chittester (Clyde) of Pittsburgh and Molly Carr (Wayne) of Maryland, a brother, Bill Trimble (Sandra) of Ridgway, and numerous nieces and nephews.

James Cuthbertson, 75, of Avenue B, Bradford, passed away Thursday May 25, 2023, at Olean General Hospital.
Born on May 25, 1948, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Harold G. and Edna Mae (Frantz) Cuthbertson. He was a 1967 graduate of Bradford High School.
On August 3, 1968, in the First Baptist Church, he married Colleen (MacLeod) Cuthbertson, who preceded him in death on December 23, 2014.
Jim worked as a self-employed contractor in the Bradford area.
Jim loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed antique cars, auto racing, riding motorcycles, and doing home projects for his family and friends.
Surviving is one daughter, Dr. Jill (Rob) Cuthbertson, of Erie, one son, Brian (Megan) Cuthbertson, of Pittsburgh, four grandchildren, Alex, Sarah, Max, and Sophie, and one brother John H Cuthbertson, of Harrisburg, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister, Jo Anne Lamb.
At Jim’s request there will be no public services. Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Greater Bradford Senior Activities Center.

James J. “Jimmer” Lineman, 56, of Bradford, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home.
He was born on October 31, 1966 in Bradford, a son of Patricia Burdick Lineman of Bradford and the late Robert A. Lineman.
He was a 1984 graduate of the Bradford Area High School. He had also attended the Pittsburgh FAA Institute of Aeronautics.
He was a talented gardener; a trait he inherited from his father.
He had worked with his father in the insurance business and his brother, Tom in the oil industry prior to working for the Allegany Bradford Corp. for 10+ years until he had to retire due to health issues.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Morgan Clements of Pittsburgh; one stepdaughter, Laura (Adam) Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; one stepson, Christopher Chase of Pittsburgh; one sister, Lori (Dennis) Trumbull of Bradford; four brothers, Robert D. (Susan) Lineman of Bradford, Thomas (Sherri) Lineman of Bradford, Mark Lineman of Bradford and Randall (Debbie) Lineman of Fredonia, NY; two grandchildren, Emmett Clements, Prudence Rigby Rodriguez; with two more on the way and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Deborah S. Sanderson of 17 Depot Street, Rixford, PA went to be with the Lord on Saturday (May 20, 2023) in the Bradford Pavilion, following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Deborah was born on Feb. 3, 1958, in New Britain, Conn., and was the daughter of Rev. Leland and Colleen Payton Boring. On Nov. 25, 1995, at the Coryville Church of Faith, she married her loving husband Frederick L. Sanderson, who survives.
Deborah was a 1976 graduate of Harmony High School and continued her education at Mission Alliance University in New York City and then Clarion University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree. She grew up as a pastor’s daughter living in many places. She was an avid worker and supporter of the AEC, Association of the Evangelical Churches. Deborah started a preschool at the Coryville Church of Faith. She was a member of the Rixford Evangelical Church where she was a deaconess and led the lady’s bible study.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband Frederick Sanderson, one brother, Daniel (Peg) Boring of Unionville, and several nieces and nephews.
Deborah was predeceased by her parents.

Leon J. Harding, age 80, of Knoxville, PA passed away on Monday, May 22,2023 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on July 22, 1942, the son of Robert T. and Catherine (Everitt) Harding of Osceola. He was a 1961 graduate of Cowanesque Valley HS and was a dairy farmer for many years, growing crops and selling gravel after he sold his dairy herd.
He was known for making maple syrup and cream and was a founding member of the Potter Tioga Maple Producers Association. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his vintage vehicles, especially his 1955 Ford Fairlane “Leon’s Lady”, driving his various vehicles or an old peddlers wagon in the parades with his grandchildren.
He loved taking his grandchildren (and greats) fishing in the pond and riding his four wheeler or side by side. He attended the El Bethel Fellowship church in Osceola and was a director of the Austinburg Woodlawn cemetery.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Joan Parker Harding; daughters, Matilda Drake of Knoxville and Malinda (William) Harper of St. Johns, FL; Grandchildren, Matthew (Latisha) Drake of Knoxville, Miranda (Jeremy) Tomb of Dayton, OH, Mary (Philip) Caffo of Knoxville, MD, Mylena (Stewart) Poulton of Henrietta, OK, Katherine Harper of St. Johns, FL and Jacqueline Harper of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Kimberly Tomb of Dayton, OH, Timothy and Leon Caffo of Knoxville, MD, Caleb and Jayden Cone of Knoxville, PA and Jack, Blake and Greyson Drake of Knoxville, PA and a great-great granddaughter, Roselyn Mullen-Tomb.
Leon is also survived by his siblings, Philip Harding of Knoxville, Annette (Robert) Scholl of Dillsburg, PA, Lyle Harding of Wysox, PA , Jane (Denny) Loucks of Elkland and Robert Harding Jr. of Osceola; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Kevin (Darlene) Avery and Dennis Mosher.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Harding (1947).
There will be a celebration of life held on Sunday, May 28th at Brookfield United Methodist Church. Calling hours are from 1-2 with the celebration of life at 2pm. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Austinburg, PA at a later date.

Leigh F. Bledsoe, age 78, formerly of the Elkland, PA area passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Bradford County Manor.
Born February 7, 1945 in Hornell, NY, he was the loving son of the late Linford and Audrey (Glover) Bledsoe. Leigh graduated from Elkland High School in 1963 and proudly served in the US Army. He had a calling to go into ministry and was faithful to his calling until the end.
He was very talented in drawing and painting. Leigh is survived by his loving siblings; Linford (Carol) Bledsoe, Gary Bledsoe, Marilyn (Frank) Purcell, James Bledsoe and John (Joann Clark) Bledsoe and he was a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Anthony G. “Tony” Keller, 80, of Ridgway, PA died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on August 30, 1942, in St. Marys, a son of the late Anthony G. and Rita Dixon Keller.
On June 15, 1967, he married Violet Adkison, who survives.
Tony was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from Motion Control after more than 30 years of service. He served in the U.S Army and retired from the Army National Guards in June of 1989. Tony enjoyed going for walks, spending time at camp, and his dogs. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of nearly 56 years, he is survived by a daughter, Serena Schatz of Ridgway, a son, Anthony M. Keller and his wife Trisha of Ridgway, 5 grandchildren; Ryan Keller, Sierra Corbett, Frankie Rae Gardner, Vanessa Keller, and Bryce Schatz, 2 step-grandchildren; Rachelle and Michael Vasbinder, and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Michael Keller of Toby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Ann Keller, 2 sisters, Marie Dilley and Linda Bobenrieth.

Anita L. Fields, 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.
Anita was born on October 21, 1948 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Barney “Bennie” and Cornelia “Corky” Giordano Fabiano.
She graduated from Ridgway High School, class of 1967. Following graduation, she worked at the Market Basket in Ridgway where she met the love of her life. On May 16, 1970 she married Robert “Bob” Fields at Saint Leo’s Church in Ridgway.
Together with her husband, Anita worked at the family store, Bob and Paul’s Market, in Kersey from 1972 until they sold in 2000. She loved spending time with her husband and family, especially her beloved granddaughters, Jaidyn and Jenna. They were her pride and joy, and she always looked forward to going to the school and sports events. She lived each day for them.
In addition to her soulmate and husband of more than 53 years, Bob Fields, she is survived by their only daughter, Amy Goodman and her husband Chad of Smethport, and by her two beloved granddaughters; Jaidyn and Jenna.
She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Paul Fields and his wife, Sue of DuBois, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Mary Beth “Betsy” DiFonzo, 92, of 1448 South Avenue, Lewis Run, PA passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her residence. She remained there only through the loving care of her daughter Laurie, her two grandsons, Nick and Mat, and Stephanie Rimer.
Born January 13, 1931, in Smethport, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Mary (Nord) Lindholm, who died when Betsy was seven. She was raised by her aunt and uncle Pete and Carrie Peterson.
Betsy was a 1948 graduate of Smethport High School and a 1951 graduate of the Bradford Hospital School of Nursing.
On June 3, 1953, in Dubuque, IA, she married the late Paul J. “Gice” DiFonzo, who preceded her in death on April 18, 2013.
Betsy was a maternity nurse at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Betsy was a former member of Our Mother Perpetual Help Church and the Smethport Country Club; she was a current member of St. Bernard Church.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, playing cards, golfing with her husband and friends, and going to breakfast and lunch, but most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving is one daughter, Laurie Boser, of Lewis Run, four sons Ed (Janet) DiFonzo, of Smethport, Marty DiFonzo, of Gifford, Jim DiFonzo, of Kennedy NY, and Paul (Terri) DiFonzo, of Gifford, seven grandchildren, Susan (Jared) Zimbardi, Tony (fiancé Kylie Battin) DiFonzo, Mathew Boser, Nick Boser, Delanie DiFonzo, Zach DiFonzo, Ben DiFonzo, two great grandchildren, Audrey Zimbardi, and Vincent Zimbardi, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gice of 60 years, two sisters, Connie Raszman, Jane Raymond, and one brother John Lindholm.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at St. Bernard Church from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm with Fr. Jim Gutting, as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Bernard Mausoleum.

Alcuin C. “Al” Dornisch, 91, of Ridgway, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Penn Highlands Elk.
Al was born October 27, 1931 in St. Marys, son of the late Alcuin “Doc” and Charlotte Myers Dornisch. A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1951, Al continued his education, earning a degree in English from Gannon College in 1958.
On August 6, 1955, Alcuin married his beautiful bride, Carol Klatman, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and together they shared 67 years of marriage.
Along with his wife, Al is survived by five daughters: Susan, Paula, Sara, Julie, and Patricia; three sons: Jude, Timothy, and Peter (Joanie); eleven grandchildren: Ashley (Ahmed), Cameron (Allison), Brennan, Charlotte (Cedric), Kyrie (Harrison), Vance, Quinton, Ally Jo, Zane, Keegan, and Deeanna; five great-grandchildren: Sami, Madeline, Lucca, Aziz, and Quincy; one sister: Alice Wiesner of St. Marys; two brothers: Thomas Dornisch (Sue) of St. Marys and Bernard Dornisch (Irene) of Lock Haven; a sister-in-law, Eileen “Dolly” Dornisch of St. Marys; two brothers-in-law: Gelindo “Boots” Bonfardine of St. Marys and Robert Fehrenbach of Wauwatosa, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by a very special granddaughter, Madeline Paguyo; two sisters: Margaret Bonfardine and Mary Therese “Teeta” Dornisch; two brothers: Paul Dornisch and Richard “Dick” Dornisch; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Fehrenbach.
Al and Carol raised their eight children (and countless foster children) in Minnesota, where Al founded the Hennepin Technical Center, focused specifically toward the powder metal industry. While Al was most proud of his family, second to that was his pride for his “Hennepin Kids” who went on to be leaders in the powder metal industry globally.
Al was a self-taught artist with an expertise for capturing wildlife in its natural habitat in such detail that his paintings were often mistaken for photography. Painting up until the day he died, Al took great joy both in creating and sharing his artistic talent with customers-turned-friends who visited Al and Carol at the many art shows they participated in throughout Al’s life.
Al’s commitment to building a fair and just world for all is surpassed only by his love for his family, especially his beloved and devoted Carol. His incredible legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless extended family and friends who will have to work hard to match his enormous heart.
Services for Al will be announced at a future date.

Ivan “Fred” Wilson III, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, in the Pittsburgh Veterans Administration Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Fred was a loving husband and father and was always looking for ways to help his family and friends. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and especially enjoyed riding with his son and close friends. Fred could often be found working in his garage and in the yard on his tractors.
Fred was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church, Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion Bolivar, Cuba VFW Post 2721, Macedonia Lodge 258 F&AM Bolivar, Valley of Jamestown Scottish Rite, and United Steelworkers Union Local Olean.
Surviving in addition to his wife Terry are his son, Ivan Fred (Jennifer) Wilson IV, Fort Mill, SC; two grandchildren, Ivan Fred Wilson V and Eva Marie Wilson, also of Fort Mill, SC; two sisters, Debbie (Russ) Gross of Cuba and Patti Wilson of Wethersfield, CT, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4-7 PM, and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11 AM in the Bolivar United Methodist
Church. Pastors Dawn Quesenberry and Elva Cornell will officiate. Burial, with full Military Honors, will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
Glenn Robinson, 69, of Haines St. in Kane, PA passed away on Friday (May 19) at UPMC-Hamot. He was born in Kane on July 13, 1953, the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Eck) Robinson.
Mr. Robinson served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for many years and was a pump station foreman. He was called to active duty for Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of Lt. Raymond A. Nicolas American Legion Post #250, the Kane VFW Lodge #1132, the Kane Elks Lodge #329 and the Kane Senior Center.
He is survived by two sons, Glenn (Jessica) Robinson II of Reynoldsville and Blake Robinson of White, GA; four sisters, Vicky Cline of Belmont, NY, Joyce Nelson and Sandy Lehman both of Kane and Donna Smith of NM; his girlfriend, Brandie Shugars of Kane and her daughter Selena (Richard Brazell) Shugars, also of Kane and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation which will take place at the Cummings Funeral Home on Friday (May 26) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Shirley M. Anderson, 97, of Coudersport, PA passed away on May 23, 2023 at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport. She was born on December 20, 1925, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Thurston David Oliver and Margaret (Youngquist) Melquist. On March 21, 1946, she married Leon E. Anderson in South Pasadena, CA and celebrated 53 years of marriage until his passing on March 31, 1999.
Shirley did clerical work for the Consistory for many years and she also worked for Potter County as an Auditor and in the Office of Aging. Shirley was an active member of the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and participated in the quilting group.
On September 22, 1947, Shirley was initiated as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Eulalia Chapter 148 at a district meeting. She served as secretary for over 20 years and was named a Secretary Emeritus. She was also a member of the Red Hats, the Coudersport Senior Center, and volunteered with Hospice and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels for many years. She also participated in Silver Sneakers and the Senior games in Bradford.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Janet A. Long of Coudersport; Beverly J. (Mac) Gilpin of Bellefonte; two sons, Roger A. (Sharon) Anderson of Virginia Beach, VA; Dale R. (Sharie) Anderson of Coudersport; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Keefe, Jason, Melanie, Mark, Britta, Crystal, Angela, Bethany, and Dustin, and 22 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a son, David L. Anderson on April 30, 2012.
In her later years, Shirley remained a central figure in the lives of her family. She was present at family events and always ready for the next gathering, traveling when necessary. With a forward thinking mindset she knitted baby blankets as the family expanded. Shirley played games and engaged in conversations that kept her mind sharp and her heart full as she brought joy to many.
Shirley, a true matriarch, modeled staying active within the community by regularly attending church and the senior center. Her faith and prioritization of a rich social life allowed her to stay immersed in everyday life.
Using a daily journal to document major family happenings and ordinary moments, Shirley exemplifies that the fabric of life is knitted together by both. Her legacy will inspire the generations to come.

East St., Coudersport, the Eastern Star Service will begin at 5 pm. On Sunday, May 28, 2023 family and friends are welcome from 2-3 pm at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, 3 Borie St., Coudersport, where her funeral service will follow at 3 pm, with Rev. John L. Kallerson officiating. A private burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery.

Mary A. McFall, 42, of 1554 Haskell Road, Olean, NY passed away on Sunday (May 21, 2023) from injuries sustained in a vehicle-pedestrian accident.
Mary was born on April 12, 1981, and was the daughter of Jack A. Langdon and Susanne E. Isaman. She was formerly married to Jess M. McFall.
Mary was a 1999 graduate of Hinsdale Central School. She continued her education at JCC where she obtained her associate’s degree in business. Mary joined Vector on May 15, 2001 as a part-time Customer Service Representative, and was promoted to full-time in July 2005. She was also an Administrative Services Representative before assuming her current position on June 16, 2021 as a Cutco Gifting Specialist.
Mary loved attending sporting events with her son. She enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills which she was a huge fan with her son. Mary loved going to St. Bonaventure Men’s Basketball games, Olean Oiler games at Bradner Stadium. She enjoyed jogging and running, working out, vacationing, and traveling to the beach. Mary liked to get her hair, nails and pedicures done.
She enjoyed attending church at Believers Chapel, and going to church functions. Mary loved a good cup of coffee and enjoyed having coffee with her mother on Saturday mornings. Most of all and above all else was her son, Carter, who was the apple of her eye and was her whole life.
Mary is survived by her son, Carter M. McFall; her mother, Susanne E. Isaman of Olean; three siblings, Tracey L. (Robert) Eliason of Bradford, Pa., Anthony J. “Tony” Nevone of Olean and Tom M. (Colleen) Langdon of Bradford; three half siblings, Elaine, Deb and Trishelle and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who she loved and adored.
Mary was predeceased by her father, Jack A. Langdon.

Margaret E. “Peg” Stahlman, 83, of Laurel Lane, Port Allegany, PA passed away unexpectedly, Saturday (May 20, 2023) in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
Born December 5, 1939, in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of Jeannette Moyer. On Aug. 26, 1961, in Foxburg, PA, she married Leland D. Stahlman, who died March 1, 2016. They were married 54 years.
She was a graduate of Parker High School, Parker, PA, class of 1958.
Margaret was a longtime resident of the area and had worked for North Penn Gas Co. and later co-owner of Lee’s Electronics (a Radio Shack franchise) of Port Allegany, with her husband, for 16 years (1983-1999), before her retirement.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Allegany, where she was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. She was a life member of the former Star Hose Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, chapter 2188, Port Allegany, volunteered with Meals on Wheels for several years, and enjoyed traveling with her husband, throughout North America, Central America, and Alaska, especially aboard cruise ships. They also enjoyed sightseeing in France, Luxembourg, and Germany.
Surviving is a son, David L. (Nikki) Stahlman of Port Allegany; two daughters, Diane S. (Sam) Dynda of Port Allegany, Debra S. (Tony) Gamboa of Palm Harbor, FL; nine grandchildren: Rachel Doutt of Port Allegany, Jillian Edgreen of Rochester, NY, Bryce Stahlman of Pittsburgh, Bryan Stahlman of Port Allegany, Alex and Lauren Dynda of Port Allegany, Alyssa, Dominic, and Amanda Gamboa of Palm Harbor, FL; two great-grandchildren, Elaina and Nolan Doutt of Port Allegany; and one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, Leland, and a daughter, Denise Leonard.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (May 25, 2023) in the First Presbyterian Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. Garen Smith, pastor, officiating. Richard A. BLACK, 96, of Wellsville, NY, went to be with his Lord on Monday May 22nd after a brief illness at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Born August 15, 1926, on the family farm on Wadsworth Hill in the Town of Ward, he was the son of Aaron Orlando and Marguerite Carr Black.
A 1944 graduate of Scio Central School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and took boot camp at Sampson Naval Training Station. He served as a member of the Navy gun crew (U.S. Navy Armed Guard) aboard a merchant ship during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946.
On December 29, 1951, in Olean, he married the former Edith M. Skiver, who predeceased him on August 12, 2008.
He went to work for NY Telephone Co. in 1946 and retired from Verizon in 1989 after 43 years of service. Dick always enjoyed his many years with the phone company as an installer/repairman, serving and helping people.
He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, member of Morrison Hayes American Legion Post #702 in Wellsville, First United Methodist Church of Wellsville, and a former member of the Masonic Lodge.
He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving are: two sons, Richard W. (Jeanne) Black of Greenbush, VA and James A. (Lillia) Black of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, Brian (Nancy) Black of Andover, Corey (April) Black of Eden, MD, Jeffrey Black of Newport News, VA, and Nicole Black of Austin, TX; five great-grandchildren, Bryce, Brandon, Tianna, Lucas, and Kali; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ross A. Hawks, 86, of Warren, PA, died Monday evening, May 22, 2023, at John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.
He was born May 17, 1937, in Russell, PA. Ross was the son of Robert and Marian Spencer Hawks. He lived most of his life in Warren. Ross was a 1955 graduate of Sugar Grove High School.
He was employed as a machinist at MRC & TRW, retiring from SKF after 38 years employment. He was a 32nd degree Mason with the Joseph Warren Masonic Lodge #726, where he served as Grand Master in 1991. He was a member of Farrah Grotto, Warren Shrine Club, American Legion Post 135, Warren Moose Lodge 109, Clarendon VFW, and Sugar Grove AmVets. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.
Ross is survived by 4 children – Dennis Hawks of Warren, PA., Donna Johnson and husband, Craig of Youngsville, PA., Debbie Hawks and companion, Don Sturdevant of Warren, PA., Diane Hawks and wife, Kim Gray of Sanford, N.C., beloved dog, Minnie, 1 Brother – Robert Hawks and wife, Laverne of Sardis, Miss., 4 Grandchildren – Katie Munksgard and husband, Terry, Jim Munksgard and wife, Stefanie, Kelly Johnson and her companion Colton Thompson and Josh Peterson, 3 Great Grandchildren – Kaley Ressler, Jase Mihalko, Kylie Munksgard, several nieces and nephews.

Keith R. Schreiber, 71, of 473 Wolfel Avenue, St. Marys, PA passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at his residence following a lengthy illness with his loving wife by his side.
He was born October 29, 1951, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Robert E. and Salome Auman Schreiber. He was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1969 and spent his entire career at National Cash Register, retiring from there in 2001.
On June 10, 1972, in the Sacred Heart Church, Keith married Amy Giordano, who survives. Keith and Amy lived in Ohio and Georgia for many years before moving back to St. Marys in 2003.
Along with his loving wife, Keith is survived by his brother, Gregory Schreiber (Olivia) of St. Marys; several sisters and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Keith had a love for music and was a skilled organ, piano, and keyboard player. He was a ham radio operator and a member of the American Radio Relay League.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on May 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Jeffery Noble, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

James E. Lucy, 90, of Gaines, PA, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at his home.
Born May 12, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Arthur H. and Anna M. (Franke) Lucy. Jim was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School in Philadelphia. On November 4, 1950 in Waterloo, IL, he married the former Reita Davis, who preceded him in death in 2016.
Jim was a Veteran having served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked in the Senior Laboratory Development at I.B.M. for many years before retiring.
He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, a member of the American Legion, the Coudersport Consistory, the Order of the Eastern Star, the NRA, the Cypress Shriners in Albany, NY, the HAM Radio Club, and the American Radio Relay League. Jim was a lifelong Republican and enjoyed collecting stamps, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are three sons, Steven J. (Dorothy) Lucy, Gaines, PA, Kurt V. Lucy, Sedalia, MO and Eric K. (Julie) Lucy, Lancaster, PA; three daughters, Rita A. (Patrick J.) Dann, Whitesboro, NY, Karen L. Fritsche, Montoursville, PA and Patricia J. (Larry) Curfman, Wallkill, NY; 20 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Janet H. Tassone, 88, of 209 Hickory Street, Johnsonburg, PA passed away early Monday morning, May 22, 2023 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on January 16, 1935 in Johnsonburg a daughter to Bertha Refeiner Lynch.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, she was a 1953 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. Janet loved spending time with her family. She also loved spending time in the kitchen and became quite the home cook, as family and friends would eagerly await a loaf of her famous nut loaf during the holidays. Christmas morning was also a special event at Janet’s home, as the entire family would gather and enjoy her overnight casserole. Janet also loved to spend days on her front porch admiring her rose bushes. She also enjoyed crocheting, doing ceramics and travel.
Janet had worked for Stackpole for over 30 years at the Johnsonburg, St. Marys and Kane plants. She had also worked at Walmart for several years
Janet is survived by six children, her loving daughter Rhonda Horchen of Johnsonburg, Ralph Tassone and his wife Karen of Johnsonburg, Robert Tassone and his wife Angela of Johnsonburg, Rosemary Tassone, Mrs. Mark Mercer of Ridgway, Ramona, Mrs. Jeff Horchen of Johnsonburg, and Renee, Mrs. Tom Coppolo of St. Marys; her grandchildren: Shawn Tassone, Jana, Mrs. Todd Walters, Keith, Bobby, and Rachel Tassone, Andrew and Anthony Clerkin, Sara, Alex, Meghan and Emma Coppolo, Randi and Justin Horchen, Joleen, Mrs. Jeremy Green, Cara, Mrs. Josh Gadley, Marlee, Mrs. Dylan Smith, Devon Horchen, Lindsey, Mrs. Matt Farnsworth and Randy Tassone.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Brayden and Kendyl Walters, Remmick, Reid and Roman Means, Owen and Harper Green, Collin and Nora Gadley, Annabelle, Aiden, Andi Mae, Allie and Aaron Clerkin, Anthony, Jr., Adrianna, Alexis and Ashton Clerkin, Carson and Angelo Tassone and Zoey Fiscus a sister Joanie Challingsworth of St. Marys and dear friends George Johnson and Betsy Leader.
In addition to her mother, Janet is predeceased by the father of her children, Angelo Tassone, a sister Jean Brooks and a sister Monica in infancy, a son Randy Tassone, a grandson Stephen Johnson and a son-in-law Scott Horchen.
