William O. Woodring, 83, of 101 Hedgehog Lane, Bradford, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at the Bradford Manor.
Born on April 29, 1940, in Bradford, he was the son of the late Oliver William and Hazel Ann (Cooper) Woodring.
Bill was a 1958 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On September 14, 1968, in Cyclone, he married Carol I. (Ishman) Woodring who survives.
He worked for New Bethlehem Burial. In 1966 he began working in various capacities at Kendall Refining, Witco, and American Refining Company. He retired in 2001 as Fire and Safety Supervisor.
Bill was a member and Past Master of Bradford Union Lodge 749 F&AM, and he was secretary for 40 years. He was a member of the McKean County Shrine Club, he drove cars in the Shriners Parades for 30 years. He was a member of the Zem Zem Shrine in Erie, a 32nd Degree member of the Coudersport Consistory, a former member of the Hilltop Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Evans Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving is his wife Carol, of 54 years, one daughter, Michelle (Timothy) Flynn, of Bradford, two grandchildren, Andrew (Vicky Lopez Mideros) Flynn and Dawn Flynn, and one great granddaughter, Abigail Flynn Lopez.
Family will receive friends on Monday, July 3, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Avenue. At 12:45 pm members of the Masonic Lodge #749 will conduct a Masonic service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jay Tennies, pastor of the Evans Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Gordon F. “Gordie” Gee, 83, of Wellsboro, PA passed away Thursday June 29, 2023, at home surrounded by family.
He was born October 1, 1939, in Sayre, PA, to Frederick F. and Gertrude (Lewis) Gee. Gordie graduated from Wellsboro High School and earned an associate degree from Williamsport Area Community College. On November 25, 1965, he married Mary R. Batcher.
He retired from Dresser Manufacturing in Wellsboro. Gordie was a member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with Kamren.
Gordon is survived by two sons: William B. Gee (Mary Kay) of Wellsboro and Scott A. Gee (Kelly) of Troy; a daughter: Amy J. Kull (Michael) of Pottsville, PA; three grandchildren: Kamren James Gee, Daina Dawes, and Derek Carnright; adopted grandchildren and great-grandchildren Melissa Warden and children Aaden, McKenzie, and Levi; and a special friend: Sally Grega of Wellsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Antoinette G. “Toni” “Ommie” Black, 67, of Galeton, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at her home. Born June 12, 1956 in Taylor, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Carmella (Bargarmino) Youells. Toni was a graduate of Riverside High School in Taylor, PA and went on to be a nurse at various nursing homes in that area.
She loved baking and doing origami. Surviving are a son, Michael (Christina) Black, Scranton, PA; a daughter, Jessica Black, Galeton; five grandchildren, Daniel and Samuel Lock, Galeton, and Claire, Corinne and Charles Black, Scranton; and a sister, Sheila Reviello, Scranton.

Helena M. Wallace, age 85, of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in DuBois as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on the DuBois-Rockton Road in Sandy Township.
Police say the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. and involved a vehicle colliding with a delivery truck. Police say a parked tour bus was also struck in the crash. They identified 85-year-old Helena Wallace as the woman killed in the crash.

Gerald G. “Jerry” Chiesa, 88, of 402 Clarion Road, Johnsonburg, PA passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, June 29, 2023 at his residence.
He was born in Johnsonburg on November 28, 1934, a son to the late Alfred and Coletta Schatz Chiesa. On February 8, 1958 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, he married Nancy Kriegel. She preceded him in death on August 30, 2022
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Jerry was a 1953 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg Fire Department. He loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed gardening and woodworking and was known for his handcrafted clocks. Jerry had retired from Keystone Powdered Metals in 1999 after 47 years of service.
Jerry is survived by his children, Thomas Chiesa and his wife Cheryl of Kersey, Janet, Mrs. Paul Young of Johnsonburg and Linda, Mrs. Ken Polaski of Johnsonburg and his grandchildren, Stephanie Chiesa, Shawn Chiesa, Zachary Young, Adrienne Polaski and Brent Polaski and a special dear friend Anya Johnson. He is also survived by sisters Bernadette Schatz of St. Marys and Carol Gay of Lancaster, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Darlene L. Koch, 76, of 130 Greeves Street, Kane, PA passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Buffalo General Hospital.
She was born March 20, 1947, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel Ward Willow. She was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School and attended college in Philadelphia.
In November of 1968, Darlene married Edward W. Koch, who preceded her in death on February 2, 2001.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Gross (Tom); four sons: Ben, George, Joe, and Ed Koch; a grandson, Austin Andrew Koch; and by her sister, Maryanna Peterson.
In addition to her husband and parents, Darlene was preceded in death by three sisters: Wanda Hedlund, Billie Patrick, and a sister in infancy; and by two brothers: Keith Willow and a brother in infancy.
Committal services were held privately at the St. Boniface Cemetery.

SMETHPORT – Martin M. Howard, loving father, grandfather and brother, of 3470 Route 46, passed away on Monday (June 19, 2023) at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness.
Marty was born on July 10, 1938 in Shinglehouse, and was the son of Melford and Erma Bell Wheeler Howard. He was formerly married to Ellen Marie Cooper. On March 11, 1967 in the Free Methodist Church in Duke Center, he married his wife of 42 years, June Marie Stoling, who predeceased him in August 2008.
Marty became a truck driver right out of high school for Andrews Salvage and then for Haliburton for several years. He then began working at Pittsburgh Corning in Port Allegany for about four years before returning to truck driving. Marty was always working on cars and trucks which led him to opening Howards Keystone with his brother in Bradford, which he ran for many years. He then returned back to work at Haliburton where he retired in 1989 after over 10 years of service.
Throughout Marty’s life he would travel around to many churches filling in for the pastors. He then became an ordained minister on Nov. 15, 2003 for the Apostolic Lighthouse Assembly of Jesus Christ.
Marty is survived by two children, M. Daniel (Debbie) Howard of Bradford, and Linda M. Goodrich of Franklin; several grandchildren including Anthony, Shannon, Christal and April; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson; he had several brothers and sisters.
Along with his wife, June, Marty was predeceased by his parents and two sons, Robert and Frank Howard.
As per Marty’s request there will be no services at this time. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Smethport.

Margaret A. Wheeler, age 96, of Silver Creek Terrace and formerly of Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA died Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Penn Highlands-DuBois after a short illness.
A daughter of the late Camiel and Ethel (Spangler) Gontero, she was born on October 6, 1926 in Bradford, PA. On July 8, 1949 she married Richard C. Wheeler, who preceded her in death on January 28, 2008.
Along with her parents and her husband, Margaret was predeceased by: a brother, Donald Gontero; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Zoey.
Margaret is survived by: two sons, Charles Richard (Mary Jo) Wheeler of St. Marys and Raymond Lloyd (Lori) Wheeler of Johnsonburg; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Robert) Burns of Jeanette, PA, Brenda (Dr. Matthew) Conner of Murrysville, PA and Allyson (Calvin) Christoff of Vero Beach, FL; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Lou Conner; and a sister, Linnea Gontero of St. Marys.
Margaret lived all her life in Johnsonburg until the past four years at Silver Creek Terrace and graduated from Johnsonburg Schools in 1944. She worked in the Paper Mill Office in her youth; part time at Rinovato Pharmacy while raising her children; Johnsonburg Banks as a Demand Deposit Account Clerk and retired from PNC Bank in 1984. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, the St. John’s Lutheran Women, the Johnsonburg Senior Center and the 500 Card Club. She was an avid bowler for several years and enjoyed golf at the Kane Country Club for more than twenty five years.
There will be no public visitation.
Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2023, at the St. John Lutheran Church of Johnsonburg with Vicar Kevin Schafer. Interment will take place next to her husband in the McKean Memorial Park.

Jamie S. Benson, 62, of Bayard St. in Kane, PA passed away Sunday evening (June 25) at his residence. He was born Jan. 5, 1961 in Kane, the son of the late Ronald and Carol Benson.
Jamie had been employed by the Local Laborer’s Union #603 and had also worked at Kane Hardwood and Hanley Brick. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles AERIE #307 and the VFW of Kane.
He is survived by his sister, Tracey Mercer-Benson of Kane and her daughter Sophia Mercer of Sacramento, CA; his aunt and uncle, Roger (Sharon) Johnson of Kane; Cousins, Danielle Noble of Kane, Michelle and Denny Stromberg of Port Allegany, Roger and JoAnna Johnson Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Bruce and Michael Benson of Pittsburgh, Jim and Peggy Benson of Pittsburgh and Katrina Benson Pavolino of OH, along with many other cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Benson. his uncle, Dennis “Gus” Johnson and his grandparents, Arnold and Martha Johnson and Carl Hilding and Kate Elizabeth “Betty” Benson.

Krista M. Miller, 44, of St. Marys, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
Born September 22, 1978, in Bradford, PA, she was the daughter of George and Mary (Heidrich) Deming. On March 19, 2005, she married Jason Miller, who survives.
She graduated from Bradford Area High School in 1996 and in 2007, she graduated from Jeff Tech as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked in various health care settings, such as nursing homes, schools, and home health. Most recently, she was employed at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology Lab in DuBois, which she really enjoyed. Krista loved photography, scrapbooking, true crime, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Krista is survived by three daughters, Michaella (Kyle Light) Deming, Marissa (Derrik Hollabaugh) Deming, and Miranda (Thomas) Frederick; four sisters, Laurie (George) Hayes, Susan Lee, Karen (Jeff Hilzinger) McClain, and Lynn (Brian) Drehmer; one brother, Michael (Kerri) Deming, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved like her own children. She is also survived by nine beloved grandchildren, McKenna, Sawyer, Emersyn, Penelope, Braven, Dillon, Camden, Maliki, and Daxton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Austin Miller, two brothers, Derrick Deming and David Deming, and her cherished dogs, Jakayla and Yuki.

Born January 18, 1924, in Ulysses, she was the daughter of Arthur and Bertha Button Blackman. On January 18, 1967, in Tioga, she married Eugene M. Button, who survives.
She was employed by Corning Glass Co. and later as a cook by Amory Houghton, retiring in 1991.
Surviving besides her husband, Eugene, are: four sons, Wayne (Mary) Osterhoudt of Westfield, Curtis Osterhoudt of Tioga, David Osterhoudt of Nashville, TN, and Robert (Laurie) Whipple of Lawrenceville; two daughters, Nancy Malinak of Lock Haven and Martha Warren of Austin; two step-daughters, Deborah (Donald) Warriner of Tioga and Inza Campbell of Sligo; a step-son, Rodney (Alice Fay) Button of Mount Dora, FL; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Osterhoudt; and two brothers, Frederick Blackman and Robert Blackman.

Anne L. Beers, 80, of Middlebury Center, PA passed away early Saturday, June 24, 2023, in her home.
She was born January 9, 1943, in Elmira, NY to Floyd W. and Alice (Flanders) Ripley.
She graduated from Southside High School in Elmira. She trained to be a beautician at Del Kader Beauty School in Elmira, Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, and the State Beauty School in Williamsport, PA. Anne owned and operated Family Hair Styling in Wellsboro.
On April 7, 1978, she married Charles E. Beers, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. Anne was a member of the Wellsboro Bible Church for more than 40 years, active in the Gideons Auxiliary of Tioga County since 2008, and the Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service (RVICS) for 11 years.
Anne is survived by her husband: Charlie Beers; two sons: Gordon Manchester (Sandra) of Pine City, NY, and Martin Manchester (Melanie) of Lebanon, PA; two step-sons: Charles “Chuck” Beers of Burlington, NC, and Michael S. Beers (Tobin) of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-son: James R. Beers.
In accordance with her wishes there will be a private service at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA, burial will be in the Wellsboro Cemetery.

Bernice A. Superko, 82 of Wellsboro, PA passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, at Broad Acres.
Bernice was born on January 3, 1941, in Blossburg, the daughter of the late Robert M. and Dorcas B. (Lawton) Kemp. She was the wife of the late Charles S. Superko who preceded her in death on April 10, 1996.
Bernice graduated from Wellsboro High School, Class of 1958. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mansfield State College.
Bernice was a member of the Eastern Star, Twilight Chapter, Mansfield, the Mansfield V.F.W. Auxiliary, former member of the Girl Scouts and a former Girl Scout Leader. She was also a member of the HAVEN of Tioga County Board of Directors.
Bernice is survived by a son, Martin Bartlett of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Marcia Bartlett of Mansfield; an aunt, Linda Lawton of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Zachary (Marissa), MegAnn, and Rebecca, and a great granddaughter, Scarlett.
There will be no visitation and a graveside service will be announced for late November.

H. Elizabeth “Beth” Karschner, age 84, of Elkland, PA passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Behm’s Personal Care Home in Elkland.
Born March 22, 1939 in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wade Frank Oliver and Stanley Arthur and Neta (Kirkland) Miller.
Beth was a member and attended the First Baptist Church of Galeton for many years.
She was very crafty, enjoyed taking walks, and loved visiting with people. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and was devoted to her Lord and the Bible.
Beth is survived by her children, Kris and wife, Susie Karschner and Julie and husband, Bradley Heck; grandchildren, Kadin Karschner, MacKenzie Karschner, Alexandra Heck, Kabrie Karschner and Joel Heck and her sisters, Michele Barton and Cimme Jo Miller.

Smethport – Doyle E. Billyard, 73, of Olean, NY, died Saturday (June 17, 2023) at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo.
He was born November 29, 1949 in Port Allegany, the son of Emery and Cleva (Sheldon) Billyard. On April 16, 1988, in Duke Center, PA, he married Pamela M. Ethridge, who died August 9, 2006.
Doyle graduated from Hamburg Jr./Sr. High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1970.
Mr. Billyard worked as a self employed carpenter for many years in the area.
Doyle was a former Cub Scout Pack Leader for Pack #617 and was involved with the Boy Scouts, following his son in advancements. He was a member of the VFW and the NRA. He loved to fish and hunt in his spare time.
He is survived by:

COUDERSPORT, Pa.—Evelyn Nettie Stewart Allen, 105, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away with her loving family by her side, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born on Monday, December 24, 1917, in Oswayo Township, she was a daughter of Ernest Washington Stewart and Christina Ryland Stewart.
Evelyn attended school in Oswayo and Shinglehouse. She married Clarence Kelligan and together they had four children; Dorla, Marlene, Keith, and Shirlee. She later married Merle Allen on July 8th, 1944. They had one daughter, Sheila Allen.
During World War II, Evelyn worked at the Eldred Munitions Plant. She later was employed at Galeton Production, Smith’s Drug Store, Buchanan’s Pharmacy, and along with her husband, Merle, owned and operated the Blarney Stone Tavern in Coudersport for several years.
She was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport, a former member of the Catholic Daughters, and a lifetime member of the Coudersport American Legion Post 192 Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered for the Red Cross Bloodmobile and the Charles Cole Hospital Gift Shop for more than 25 years—well into her 90s.

Evelyn took care of just about every grandchild and great-grandchild at one time or another and always had the neighborhood kids milling about as well. She never had a cross word to say about anyone. She did a great job keeping everything in perspective. She was known as ‘Nanny’ to most everyone, including the people she worked and volunteered with through the years. She will be sadly missed.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her first husband, Clarence Kelligan; her second husband, Merle Allen; four daughters, Dorla Tucker, Marlene Kromar, Shirlee Leete, and Shelia Allen; her son, Keith Kelligan; grandson, Tom Leete; a great-grandson, Luke Russell; a granddaughter, Anne Leete Seager; and a sister, Velma Miller.
Family and friends may call from 9am to 10am on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the gathering space of St. Eulalia Catholic Church, Coudersport. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, July 22, 2023, in St. Eulalia Catholic Church, with the Rev. Christopher Wheeler, as celebrant. Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.

Glenn Raymond “Odie” Taylor, 65, of St. Marys, PA passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023.
He was born on January 19, 1958 in St. Marys, a son of the late Kenneth and Anna K. Taylor.
He is survived by a daughter; Mollie.
A brother, Roger “Buck“ Taylor and Michael Taylor, both preceded him in death.
Odie was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s and graduated from St. Marys Area High School.

Christian Michael Parrish, 48, of Summerville, South Carolina, as of April 30th, 2023, went to be with his Lord and Savior after a very long, and so painful, but an exceptional brave and courageous battle with diabetes.
Born October 11,1974, in Coudersport, PA, the son of Cheryl (Ayers) Furman, Austin, Pa and James Parrish, Florida, Christian graduated in 1992, from Coudersport Jr. and Sr. High School. Christian went on to attend college at Lock Haven University where he studied Secondary Education. He then went to Hamilton University receiving Bachelor’s of Science – Adult Education and his Master’s degree – Adult Education.
Christian worked in the medical field for many years until he was no longer able. He was so smart. I never met anyone that was as bright as he was.
Christian loved life. He had such a beautiful smile that would light up a whole room. He could go any place and not know a person there and leave having so many new friends. (not just acquaintances, but friends).
His most loved treasures where his four precious children. He loved being with his children every chance he got. Christian was the greatest Dad ever. He also loved his faithful companions, Bella, Buddy, and Blue who were by his side day and night. Surviving besides his Mother and Step-father Dennis Furman, are his four children; Sons Tyler and Cayden Parrish of Summerville, SC. whom stayed with their Dad caring for him when Christian’s mother wasn’t by her son’s side. Two daughters, Morgan and Loren Parrish, Ashville, NC, Brothers Cody Parrish of Howe, Indiana and Joshua (Michelle) Parrish, Shinglehouse, Pa. A special nephew, Xavier (Kathryn) Furman, Sturgis, Michigan. Maternal Grandmother, Arlene Ayers and Paternal Step-grandmother, Doris Robison, both of Coudersport, Pa. Two special aunts; Gloria (Gregory) Frable, Newmanstown, Pa and Susan (Terry) Plumstead, Westfield, Pa, and a special cousin Jason Ayers, Coudersport, Pa. and his 3 Compadres, Bella, now living in Ashville, NC, Buddy, and Blue, now living in Austin, PA. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by Maternal grandfather, Francis T. Ayers and a Grandson, Carver Parrish. Paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Parrish and Paternal Step-grandfather, Edwin (Chick) Furman.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at The Gospel Tabernacle in Coudersport, PA. on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. John Minor officiating.
Forrest L. Seeley, Jr., 67, of 582 Parkside Drive, Limestone, NY, passed away, Monday, June 19, 2023, at Olean General Hospital.
Born on July 24, 1955, in Olean NY, a son of the late Forrest L. Seeley, Sr and Emogene (Johnson) Seeley-Wesmiller.
He attended Limestone Free Union and graduated in 1974.
On March 8, 1974, he enlisted in the United States Marines Corp. He served until March 11, 1976, when he was honorably discharged.
After the service he worked at Haliburton, Dresser Rand and for many years as an Installer for Direct TV.
On June 18, 2005, in his Parkside Drive home, he married Linda (Miller) Seeley.
Forrest was a member of the American Legion Post 1560 in Limestone and the Limestone Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and drinking Bud Light. His greatest joy came from being with his daughters and family.
Surviving is his wife Linda of 18 years, two daughters, Tracy Seeley and Stephanie (Chris) Barrile, all of Bradford, four stepdaughters, Bridget Ehman, Mellissa Autieri, Laurie Trojan, and Kristen Roberts, one stepson, Richard S Trojan and Steven Trojan, two sisters Jacqui Pritchard, and Marge Feely, one brother, David Seeley, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Steven Trojan.
Family will receive friends on Saturday July 1, 2023, at 10:00 am at the American Legion Post 1560 in Limestone. At 10:30 am Full Military Honors will be accorded by members of the United States Marine Corp, and the Honor Guard of the American Legion Post 1560.

Joann L. Fronapel, 93, formerly of 9 Cross Dr., Bradford, PA and a former winter resident of Zepher Hills, FL, for many years, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born on February 20, 1930, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Irene (Johnson) Record.
Joann graduated from Bradford Area High School in 1949.
On June 24, 1949, she married Robert Adams, who preceded her in death on September 15, 1962. On August 27, 1978, she married Eugene “Piney” Fronapel who preceded her in death on January 28, 2006.
Joann worked as a waitress at the Desoto Motel Restaurant.
Surviving is one son, Ronald (Millie) Adams, of, Tonawanda, NY, three stepdaughters, Carolyn Fronapel, of Pittsburgh, Mary (Mike) Mackey, of Russell, and Barbara (Chip) Bloomgren, of ME, one granddaughter Erika Adams, seven step grandchildren, and 11 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and two sisters, Phyllis Holzworth and Marge Reed.
Services are private and at the convenience of family. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Patricia “Jean” Mann, 90, of 109 Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side, early Saturday morning, June 24, 2023 at her residence.
She was born on June 21, 1933 in Ridgway, a daughter to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Hennessy Eggler. On September 13, 1975 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Ermil B. Mann. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1992.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Jean was a 1947 graduate of Holy Rosary School and a 1951 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg and Wilcox Senior Centers. Jean enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and doing volunteer work. She loved bingo and recently doing Wordle on her Ipad.
Jean had retired in 1993 as a Senior Secretary in the Traffic Department of Willamette Industries, Johnsonburg Mill after 42 years of working for the New York and Pennsylvania Co., Penntech Papers and Weyerhauser before Willamette, now Domtar.
Jean is survived by one step-daughter, Jennifer, Mrs. Fred Frank of Johnsonburg and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a brother James Eggler and 2 sisters Mary Swanson and Margaret Eggler.

Dolores A. “Dode” Dworsky, 93, of Silver Creek Terrace, St. Marys and formerly of 522 Penn Street, Johnsonburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Friday morning at Silver Creek Terrace.
She was born in Erie, PA a daughter to Sarah Redmond Popielski. On May 5, 1962 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married James “Jim” Dworsky. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2014.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Dode was a 1948 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church where she had been a member of the Funeral Dinner Committee and the Festival Committee. She was also a member of the St. Joe’s Women’s Aux. and was an active member of the ECCHS PTO. Dode loved her family, her church and her front porch. She enjoyed playing cards, particularly cinch and 500. She also loved to Polka and read books.
Dode had retired from Nelson’s Grocery Store in 1997 after 20 years. She had also catered for 10 years and had worked at Pelp’s Restaurant for 10 years.
She is survived by her children Christine Marie Geer of Johnsonburg and Daniel James Dworsky and his wife Shawn of Ridgway and her grandchildren Sydney and Samantha Kovalyak and Dakota Dworsky. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Lorraine Dworsky of St. Marys and Lois, Mrs. Robert Czekai of Rush, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother and husband, Dode is predeceased by her mother’s husband Walter Popielski, who passed away before she was born, and brothers Raymond, Louis, Stanley, Chester and Thomas Popielski.

Richard C. “Dick” VanDuyne, age 93, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
He was born on August 1, 1929 in Towaco, NJ, a son of the late Elbert F. and Marie F. (Lockhoff) VauDuyne and was the owner of VanDuyne Dairy Equipment for many years. He was married to Janice L. (Ingerick) VanDuyne, and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Tioga, PA.
He spent several years as a volunteer in RVICS (Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service) and spent that time traveling to several states doing construction projects in various Christian ministries. He enjoyed woodworking, logging, construction, and traveling. He was a Jack-Of-All-Trades and a master of many.
Dick is survived by his wife: Janice VanDuyne of Wellsboro, PA, two sons: Mark (Ruth) VanDuyne of Mexico, MO, Timothy (Wendy) VanDuyne of Lawrenceville, PA, three daughters: Becky (Brad) Sharp of Middlebury Center, PA, Debbie (Phil) Gastrock of Wellsboro, PA, Sharon (Ben) Dewalt of Allenwood, PA, two brothers: Tom VanDuyne of CO, David (Betty Brooks) VanDuyne of NJ, brother-in-law: Bud Kurvink of FL, three step-sons: Greg Mattison of Wellsboro, PA, Tim Mattison of CO, Mark Mattison of CA, 16 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two daughters: Linda VanDuyne and Ruth Migliore, two grandsons: Daniel Sharp and Brad Sharp, Jr. and a granddaughter Shoshanna Stratton.

Marjorie Butler Rawson, 84, of Galeton, PA died on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born April 1, 1939 in Blossburg, PA, she was the daughter of Clara N. (Hurlburt) Butler and William Butler. On August 8, 1959 she married Charles “Ed” Rawson who predeceased her on March 27, 2008. She was a graduate of Galeton High School.
Marge was a member and deacon of The First Presbyterian Church in Galeton and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was President of the Goodyear Hose Company Auxiliary for many years, past member of Galeton BPW and was also a member of the Wellsboro Doll Club.
She enjoyed her family, friends, baking cakes, collecting dolls and going to lunch with her best friends.
Surviving are: her children, Scott Edward (Bobbi) Rawson of Port Matilda, PA, Lorie Lynne Hillyard (Dave House) of Troupsburg, NY, and Julie Lee (Bill) Jeffries of Galeton; grandchildren, Elaina (Greg) Payne of Scio, NY, Janelle (Todd Wilson) Rawson of Philipsburg, PA, Jaime (Jake) Bahr of State College, PA, Jeffrey Rawson of Port Matilda, PA, Brett (Danielle Rogers) Jeffries of Galeton, PA, and Nathan (Alyssa) Jeffries of Port Matilda, PA; great grandchildren, Thomas Surdam of Scio, NY and Jackson Wilson of Philipsburg, PA.
Also predeceasing her were her parents, a brother LeRoy Butler and a sister Joanne Chalmers.

Edith V. Anderson Todd, 101, of Port Allegany, PA passed away in Monroe, CT on June 21, 2023.
She was born on February 6, 1922, to John Aaron and Amanda Charlotte (Gustafson) Anderson in Port Allegany. On June 22, 1947, she married George R. Todd and enjoyed 68 years together before his death in 2015. She was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1940.
During WWII she worked as a secretary for the National Munitions Company, and later held that position for Pittsburgh Corning, and then in the legal offices of attorneys Elton Carlson and Merle Johnson.
She enjoyed her family, entertaining friends, traveling experiences with her husband and spending several winters together in Dunedin, Florida.
Edith was a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, belonged to Eastern Star and supported other community organizations over the years.
She was the youngest of ten children who preceded her in death. Surviving her are a daughter, Catherine A. Radlinski of Monroe, CT; two sons, C. Dana (Suzan) Todd of Houston, TX and Russell C. (Mary) Todd of Erie, PA; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Willma Todd of Bristol, VA, Loraine Todd of Tonawanda, NY and Ella M. Rosko of Smethport, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Port Allegany on July 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Port Allegany.
