At 6:29 PM on Friday, Johnsonburg Fire Rescue and ambulances from Ridgway & St. Marys have been dispatched to 5236 Ridgway-Johnsonburg Road for a 3 vehicle head-on crash with 3 reported injuries on scene. Air medical has been requested. All helicopters not available due to weather.
6:51 PM–Wilcox rescue & ambulance to scene for BLS patient.
Patients being transported to Penn-Highlands ELK.
8:01 PM–All units have cleared the scene. Roadway open.

At 4:39 PM on Friday, Route 446 between Eldred & Portville is CLOSED TO ALL TRUCK TRAFFIC due to LOW HANGING WIRES.

At 11:56 AM on Friday, Clymer Ambulance & Westfield QRS has been called to Fry Road in Hector Township for a 35 year old man run over while working on a F-250 pickup truck in the driveway. No entrapment.
Air medical has been requested but so far unavailable due to weather.

At 10:37 AM on Friday, Ridgway & St. Marys Fire Depts. have been dispatched to 231 West Main Street in Ridgway Borough for a report of an electrical fire with smoke showing in the structure. St. Marys cancelled.

MANSFIELD, PA – Late Thursday evening, March 30, 2023, fire and EMS crews from Mansfield Hose Company and Big Elm Fire Department responded to a reported two vehicle head-on crash around 11:30 PM in Rutland Township.
The accident was reported in the area of 3493 Route 549 near the Jenkins Road intersection. Mansfield fire personnel arrived at the accident scene by 11:32 PM and confirmed that this was a head-on crash where the vehicles came to rest along the shoulder of the roadway. While fire personnel were checking for victims other units from both departments started arriving on scene.
Only one driver was found in one of the vehicles, the other driver had apparently already left the scene either by foot or was picked up prior to fire crews arrival. The driver that was left behind was confirmed trapped and injured inside his vehicle.
A request for Pennsylvania State Police to expedite to the scene was made by Mansfield Command, since one of the driver’s had fled the scene in an unknown manner.
A medical helicopter was requested due to the injuries the trapped driver had suffered. LifeNet 7-7 medical helicopter was sent out to the area.
By 11:46 PM that section of Route 549 was being closed down by a Mansfield fire crew as other firefighters prepared to extricate the male driver from the crushed vehicle.
The injured driver was extricated from their vehicle by 11:55 PM and placed in the Mansfield ambulance.
It was confirmed just past midnight that Route 549 was closed between the intersection of the Jenkins Road all the way down into Roseville at the Pumpkin Hill Road Intersection.
A landing zone was set up for LifeNet 7-7 in a nearby field close to the accident scene. The ambulance transported the patient to the landing zone where EMS members treated the patient and waited for the arrival of the medical helicopter. LifeNet 7-7 landed around 12:20 AM and was airborne to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA., by 12:42 AM.

At 10:14 AM on Friday, Coudersport Ambulance has been called to the Wending Creek sugar shack on Baker Creek Road for a 51 year old female fall victim with rib & back injuries.

At 2:59 PM on Thursday, Ridgway & St. Marys Fire Depts have been dispatched to 240 Monterey Avenue in Ridgway for a working structure fire. Johnsonburg also dispatched to scene.
3:11 PM–Fully involved house fire. Mutual aid expedite. Wilcox for standby for Johnsonburg.
3 occupants have received minor burns but are remaining on scene. Advising county to contact Red Cross to assist residents. Fire Marshal advised.
Kersey dispatched for standby at Ridgway station.

At 2:08 PM on Thursday, Bradford Township Fire Rescue & City Ambulance have been dispatched to a T-bone crash near 800 Minard Run Road. Caller stated no injuries.

At 11:25 AM on Thursday, Coudersport ambulance has been called to Third Street for a medical alert call.

At 10:55 AM on Thursday, Ridgway Fire & EMS have been dispatched to East Main Street & Runoff Road for a motor vehicle crash.

Kane Fire Dept. was called to the American Water Service Thursday morning for an automatic Fire Alarm.

At 9:40 AM on Thursday, Coudersport ambulance has been called to the West Branch of Dingman Run Road for a woman ill.

At 9:35 AM on Thursday, Fillmore & Wiscoy-Rossburg Fire Depts. have been dispatched to SR 19 for a tractor-trailer rollover blocking the roadway. Hazmat has been called to the scene for leaks of oil, diesel fuel and milk from the truck.
SR 19 is closed and anticipated to be closed for hours according to scanner traffic from the scene.
Preliminary assessment indicates possibly only minor injuries to the driver.

At 6:08 PM on Wednesday, Genesee Fire Dept. has been dispatched to Main Street & Commercial Street for wires down.

At 5:30 PM on Wednesday, Port Allegany ambulance has been called to Penny Lane for a diabetic emergency.

At 4:43 PM on Wednesday, Roulette ambulance has been called to Trout Brook Road for difficulty breathing.
At 3:32 PM on Wednesday, Roulette Fire Dept. has been dispatched to Railroad Avenue for a tree down in the roadway.

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is investigating a series of phone calls made to 911 centers about schools across the Commonwealth involving threats of an active shooter situation or bomb threat.
These phone calls were made to several schools in different counties. All calls have had similar content. All calls are being thoroughly investigated and responded to by law enforcement.
These calls have created lockdowns and/or evacuations of the schools with a large response from police and emergency services.
The PSP has responded to all incidents in our primary coverage areas and has been in contact with municipal law enforcement partners investigating these incidents in their coverage areas.
At this time, all claims in these calls have been determined to be false. All schools involved have been cleared or are in the process of being cleared by law enforcement.
The investigation is ongoing.

At 11:09 AM on Wednesday, Ridgway Fire & EMS have been dispatched to Bootjack Road for a 3 vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer and 2 small SUVs.

At 1:46 PM on Tuesday, Port Allegany Ambulance has been called to East Ransom Street for altered level of consciousness.

At 9:04 AM on Tuesday, Hilltop Fire Dept. & ambulances from Smethport, Bradford & Port Allegany have been dispatched to a head-on crash with injuries at Rt. 59 & Rt. 646 at Ormsby. Smethport fire rescue dispatched. Report no entrapment.
At aprx 0915 (3/28/23) SFD was dispatched to the intersection of Rt 59 & 646 for a head on collision with minor injuries. Engine 24 responded along with MA-3 and MA-17 which evaluated patients and were treated on scene. Route 59 was closed until vehicles could be removed. Station 2 Fire Police handled traffic around the scene with assistance from 4201 and 21-10. PSP was on scene and Chief 220 had command. Units were clear and road reopened at aprx 0948.
