At 3:10 PM on Monday, Ulysses & Harrison Fire & EMS have been dispatched to Andrews Hill Road in Harrison Township for a burn victim. A 59 year old male has suffered burns to a large portion of his body when a burning barrel exploded. Air medical has been requested.
At 10:21 AM on Monday, Wellsboro Fire Dept. has been called to Mills Hill Road for a wildfire. Reported to be off the Steam Mill Road. Mansfield & Middlebury patrols dispatched to assist.
At 6:27 AM on Monday, Roulette Fire & EMS has been dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 6 & Fishing Creek Road. Report a T-bone crash. One patient reporting chest pain.
At 10:30 AM on Saturday, Coudersport Fire & EMS have been dispatched to the Long Road near the intersection with North Hollow Road in Allegany Township for a box truck rollover crash.
At 2:19 PM on Friday, Roulette Fire Dept. has been dispatched along with mutual aid from Port Allegany & Coudersport to a working mobile home fire at 22 Oak Lane in Roulette. Port & Coudersport hold in quarters. Reporting possibly a small furnace fire.
At 1:55 Pm on Thursday, Liberty Fire Dept. has been dispatched to 1227 Farm Road for a large wildfire. Multiple fire companies have been dispatched to assist.
Rescue 48-8, Engine 48-3 and Patrol 48-4 AC T. Ostroski & Cowburn, Lt Rodriguez under the command of Chief 48-Phelps responded to the above incident with a report of a driver confined in a vehicle that has collided with an empty water truck head on.
Upon the arrival of chief 48-Phelps the driver had freed himself from the wreckage and was sitting in the road by his vehicle. The wreck was confirmed to be in cemetery curve just west of town.
Crews immediately stabilized and checked both vehicles for any hazards and began treatment of the driver’s until EMS arrived.
SR6 was shut down while crews worked the scene an treated the PT’s then opened one lane of traffic for traveling motorist and closed shortly again once the wrecker services arrived to remove the vehicles safely.
Both vehicles were removed from the scene : 1-Whites Heavy Wrecker – Westfield, 1- Kightlinger motors, Coudersport and the driver of the delivery box truck was transported to UPMC for treatment of injuries, the driver of the water truck refused treatment.
The accident was investigated by PSP Cdspt and we were also assisted by Dept 49 CVAA and medic 7, in all 17 members responded to this call for service . All apparatus were back in quarters at approximately 3:30 am.
On February 15 at 10:58 pm. Mansfield and Blossburg Fire Depts. were dispatched to 719 Wood Rd. in Richmond Twp. for a fully involved barn fire. The fire is now a 3 alarm fire with 2 other barns in danger
At 4:50 PM on Wednesday, Emporium Firefighters have brought a brush/forest fire under control at 3338 Rich Valley Road. Units requested from St. Marys, Port Allegany, Norwich Twp. & Elkland Search & Rescue were recalled. Austin engine was dispatched to Emporium to stand by. DCNR is sending a crew to assist in mop up.
