BRMC Celebrates Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New X-Ray Room with State-of-the-Art Equipment
BRADFORD, PA – Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC), a Kaleida Health facility, celebrated the re-opening of the newly upgraded X-ray room 1, featuring state-of-the-art imaging equipment designed to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care. The ribbon-cutting ceremony coordinated by the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce, was held this Friday, April 4, highlighting BRMC’s commitment to providing the best possible healthcare to the community. In attendance was Representative Martin Causer, hospital and foundation board members, imaging services team members and hospital leadership.
“We’re appreciative of the support of the Bradford Hospital Foundation (BHF) and Representative Causer who helped secure the funds for this project and a special thank you to our plant services team who helped execute it,” said Laura Wertz, MBA, BS, RT(R)(CT), director of imaging services. “Renovating and updating the room will allow us to continue to provide exceptional, around-the-clock care to the patients we serve.”
The new X-ray room was funded through a grant secured by Representative Causer which will allow BRMC to deliver faster, more accurate results with cutting-edge imaging technology. The project totaled more than $188,000. In 2024, the BRMC imaging services department saw more than 29,600 patients, completed more than 62,000 patient images and conducted an excess of 15,600 x-ray studies.

Chapman, president, BRMC, Olean General Hospital. “This new equipment will not only enhance our diagnostic accuracy, but also provide a more comfortable and efficient experience for our patients. And a heartfelt thank you to Representative Causer for your continued support.”
The imaging services department at BRMC offers a wide range of diagnostic testing and imaging capabilities, creating easy accessibility to the Bradford community. The available services include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine (NM), ultrasound (US), computer-tomography (CT), bone density, fluoroscopy, x-rays and mammography. The newly updated room will continue to elevate the care provided within the four walls of BRMC.
