On November 21 Coudersport Fire and Ambulance were dispatched for a one vehicle rollover accident on E. Second St. the vehicle is on its roof with possible injuries

Katie Anne Harvey, age 41, of Johnsonburg, PA
Katie Anne Harvey, age 41, of Johnsonburg, PA, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long, enduring battle with cancer, at Shadyside Hospital of Pittsburgh.
She is a daughter of the late John C. Harvey and Kristene “Tena” (Belin) Harvey of Wilcox.
Katie had worked at Walmart, Helpmates, and the Elks Club of Ridgway. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, the Elks, the Moose, Central Hose, the Eagles and the Piedmont Club.
2 Injured In Jackson Twp. Crash
Millerton Fire Company
Millerton FD was dispatched slightly after midnight on Nov. 21st to a MVA in Jackson TWP. and within minutes both Rescue 12-8 and Rescue 12-8 responded, shortly after, Engine 12-2.
2 injuries were reported and transported by Erway Ambulance. Thank you Millerton members for the quick and strong response, early this morning.

3 Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) offer extended firearms bear season

Regular firearms Bear season is quickly winding down here in the Northcentral Region! 
The regular firearms bear hunting season runs from Saturday, Nov. 18 through Tuesday, Nov. 21 statewide.
In the Northcentral Region, we have three Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) that offer an extended firearms bear season run from Saturday, Nov. 18 through Saturday, Dec. 2: WMUs 3A, 3B, and 4E.
As a reminder, all harvested bears must be checked within 24 hours of harvest at either a bear check station or checked in the field by a State Game Warden.

Outside of open check station hours, hunters can call the Game Commission’s Centralized Dispatch Center at 1-833-PGC-HUNT to make arrangements for their bear to be checked.

Possible Structure Fire At Palmer Opera House in Cuba, NY
At 6:11 AM on Tuesday, Cuba & Friendship Fire Depts. have been dispatched to a possible structure fire at the Palmer Opera House. A follow-up call subsequent to a fire alarm reports smoke but no active flames in the basement of the structure. Source is being investigated.
Westons Mills & Hinsdale Fire Dept. also dispatched mutual aid but RECALLED by Cuba.

On November 21 at 12:14 am Millerton was dispatched to a one vehicle accident with unknown injuries at 5379 Main St. in Jackson twp.

On November 20 at 6:12 pm Bradford City Ambulances and Bradford Twp. Fire Dept. was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on 631 W. Washington St. with multiple patients. This is a car vs. deer crash with 3 patients with airbag deployment
PITT-BRADFORD TO CLOSE FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY
BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will be closed Nov. 23 through 26 in observance of Thanksgiving.
Residence halls will be closed, and there will be no classes the week of Nov. 20-24.
North Central Seeks to Support Local Businesses in Expanding Public EV Charging in the Region
Ridgway, PA – The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission (North Central) is actively seeking local businesses interested in hosting public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. This initiative, in partnership with PennDOT and the Department of Community and Economic Development, aims to enhance the EV charging infrastructure throughout the region.
“By identifying potential charging station sites across our six counties, we support the growing number of EVs and foster EV adoption in our rural areas,” remarked Amy Kessler, Director of Community Development & Regional Planning. “Our goal is to work with local partners who are interested in hosting public EV charging stations.”
North Central is committed to guiding businesses through this process. Assistance includes evaluating charging options, providing access to tools and resources for cost and implementation analysis, and offering support in navigating funding and grant opportunities to help offset costs.
‘ALL THINGS EQUAL’ AN INTIMATE PORTRAIT OF RBG

DEER SEASON AWAITS PENNSYLVANIA HUNTERS
Opening day of Pennsylvania’s statewide firearms deer season is not, officially, a state holiday. Never has been.
But you could be excused for thinking otherwise.
The busiest single day on the hunting calendar by far, it annually causes about half a million people to do whatever they can to get into the woods.
What else would you expect in a state where deer hunting has such a long-standing and strong culture?
The National Deer Association (NDA) regularly ranks Pennsylvania tops in the country for hunter density. It says there were 14.4 hunters per square mile here in 2021, the most recent year for which statistics are available. Only three other states – New York (12), Wisconsin (11.4) and New Jersey (10.5) – hit double digits.
Expect similar crowds this year. The season starts on Saturday, Nov. 25, continues on Sunday, Nov. 26, then runs through Saturday, Dec. 9, excluding only Sunday, Dec. 3. Hunters will be out in force throughout.
Richard J. Olszewski, 81, of Ridgway, PA
Richard J. Olszewski, 81, of Ridgway, PA died on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Pinecrest Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was born on December 27, 1941, a son of the late Costek “Babe” and Mildred Siefert Olszewski.
On November 28, 1964, he married Marie Stenta, who survives.
Richard was a lifelong member of the community and a member of St. Leo Magnus Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending time hunting, gardening, and teaching his kids how to enjoy the outdoors. Richard was a talented artist, taxidermist, and cook. He was a kindhearted family man who always took time to be there for his children and grandkids. He had a special place in his heart for his animals, his love for animals is truly inspiring.

75 Searchers, Drone, Helicopter & More Mobilized in Search For Lost Hiker Near Laurel Mill Ski Trail
Elkland Search and Rescue
At 7:35 p.m. Saturday evening, Elkland Sar was requested by the Pa State Police, Ridgway Barracks to assist them with a missing hiker that was out walking his dog. He went missing about one mile west of the Laurel Mill Skiing Trail head area.
St. Marys Police Department K9 unit was working on scene when Elkland Sar arrived on scene. Ridgway Fire Dept. was dispatched for assistance on scene with Ridgway Amb. standing by at their station if assistance was needed on scene. Elkland responded with 16 members to the scene.
Incident Command was established at the Laurel Mill Skiing Area Trail Head. Search crews worked throughout the night searching for the missing individual and his dog. Tactics deployed included; hasty searches, trail searches, attraction, atv/utv and mobile patrols, mantracking, drones with Flir technology and PSP provided Flir aerial support with their helicopter.

At 1:45 PM on Monday, Ridgway & Wilcox Fire Dept. & EMS have been dispatched to a tractor-trailer rollover crash on Montmorenci Road.
Eldred Dispatched For Traffic Control at MVA
At 1:30 PM on Monday, Eldred Township Fire Dept. dispatched to West Eldred Road for traffic control at a motor vehicle accident.
Olean Warrant Turns Up Guns & Drugs; Man Arrested
City of Olean, NY Police Department
On November 18th 2023- City of Olean police acting on an active bench warrant issued by the Honorable Nicholas DiCerbo arrested Richard G. Pike (35) of 1228 Brook Street in Olean.
Officers seized a loaded modified 20 gauge shot gun, cash and approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine.
Pike was charged with PL 265.02 Subdivision 1 – Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (D Felony). § PL 220.16 Subdivision 7 – Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (B Felony). § PL 220.16 Subdivision 8 – Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell (B Felony). Pike is also facing pending Olean City code violations.
Pike was remanded to Cattaraugus County jail awaiting future court appearance.
Cuba Man Facing Charges After His Vehicle Hits A House

On November 19th, 2023 at approximately 1:22 AM, following a one-car motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle left the roadway and struck a house, Cuba Police arrested Cameron A. Dunlap (21) of Cuba.
Dunlap was arrested on charges of failure to maintain lane (Violation), driving while ability impaired (Misdemeanor) and driving while intoxicated 1st offense (Misdemeanor). Dunlap was processed and released to appear at a later date. Dunlap is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of Law.

At 11:48 AM on Monday, Filmore, Wiscoy-Rossberg, Houghton, Rushford and Fast Team One have been dispatched for a working house fire at 10975 Mills Mills Road in the Allegany County Town of Hume.
Karen A. Benjamin, 67, of Port Allegany, PA
Karen A. Benjamin, 67, of Port Allegany, PA passed away Friday (November 17, 2023) at her residence in Port Allegany.
She was born June 12, 1956 in Bradford, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Reed Alcock.
Karen attended Smethport Area Schools and worked as a bartender in the area for several years. She worked at the Valley Inn in Farmers Valley and lastly at the Eldred American Legion.
