At 9:30 PM on Saturday, Coudersport Ambulance has been called to Skyview Lane for a hemorrhage.

On January 13 at 5:32 pm Jay Twp. Fire and Bennetts Valley Ambulance were dispatched to Rt 555 for a two vehicle crash with airbag deployment and injuries
1st Presbyterian Church of Coudersport will not be having service on Sunday, January 14, 2024 or service on Facebook due to the cold weather.

On January 9, 2024, at approximately 11:09 a.m., Troopers from SP Amity responded to a report of a motor vehicle in a ditch on Moss Brook Road in the Town of Friendship.
Investigation determined that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on Moss Brook Rd. in the Town of Friendship on snow-and ice-covered roadways when the vehicle of the vehicle exited the roadway striking an embankment.
The operator, Leslie M. Blouvet, 37, of Friendship, NY, was pronounced dead at the scene. The only passenger in the vehicle, a 40-year-old female who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to the Jones Memorial Hospital for treatment.
This is an ongoing investigation.

The Gallery Wall is located just off the Deane Center’s main lobby near the Coolidge Theatre at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.
A member of the Grand Canyon Photography Club since 2022, Newell is exhibiting five of his framed Pennsylvania landscape black and white vintage silver gelatin prints, including “Sweet Cherry”, “Downstream Summer Morning”, “Dogwood with Broken Bough”, “Petrified Dragon” and “November Rain.”
The Tioga County Women’s Shooting Society’s indoor season for shooting practice at the National Range and Armory at 31 Washington Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701 will continue this Sunday, Jan. 14.
“We will meet at 9:45am at the CVS Plaza parking lot at 197 North Main Street in Mansfield, PA 16933 and leave at 10am sharp to carpool to Williamsport. We will get there a bit before 11am,” said President Marilyn Jones.
“Shooting practice is from 11am to 1pm. Afterwards, we will stop for lunch and should be back in Mansfield by 4:30pm,” Jones said. “We ask the ladies to help with gas for the car they ride in.”
Women should bring their firearm of choice, ammunition, targets, eye and hearing protection with them. Those supplies are available for purchase at the National Range and Armory. Firearms can be rented or purchased. Attendees at shooting practices will pay a lane rental fee of $5 to $15 depending on how many people are sharing the same lane.
Saturday, Feb. 10 is a confirmed shooting practice date for the group at the National Range.

At 9 a.m. this Sunday, Jan. 14, a free, one-hour Eagle Watch led by local eagle expert and enthusiast Matt West will be at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Tioga-Hammond Dam Ives Run Mixing Channel at 94-98 South Main Street in Tioga Borough in Tioga County.
This is the best location in the area to view bald eagles in winter. West will answer questions about these amazing raptors. Bring a camera and binoculars. A limited number of spotting scopes and binoculars will be available. The Tioga County Woodland Owners Association is sponsoring this event, and will provide hot beverages and maybe some snacks.
To get to the mixing channel from Wellsboro, take Route 287 north for 17 miles (past the Ives Run Recreation Area) turn right at the stop sign onto South Main Street in Tioga Borough and drive a distance of one mile to the parking area, including to the end of South Main Street, wind past the park entrance gate and drive past the mixing channel and park. At 3:46 PM on Saturday, Coudersport Fire & EMS have been dispatched to a snowmobile accident near 561 Irish Farm Road. Person is entrapped under the snowmobile.

Rachael Ann Bice DAVIS, 31, of Middlebury Center, PA, formerly of Ulysses, died Thursday, January 11, 2024 in UPMC Williamsport.
Born February 24, 1992, in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Scott A. and Nancy J. Baumgarner Bice. On August 16, 2014, at Triple D Farms in Middlebury Center, she married Jared C. Davis, who survives.
A 2010 graduate of Northern Potter High School, she earned an associate degree for medical assistant from Penn College and was a licensed phlebotomist.
She and her husband owned and operated Triple D Farms, Triple D Maple, and Triple D Cabins. Her most important roles were of wife and mother. Rachael was a member of The First Baptist Church of Ulysses.

Loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather
Harold L. Barber, 91, of Macedon, formerly of Bolivar, NY passed away Tuesday (Jan. 9, 2024).
Harold was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Cyclone, Pa., to Clinton and Frieda Work Barber.
Harold was a dependable man, known for his strong character. He was a faithful husband to his wife Winnie, who recently predeceased him.
After attending Olean High School, Harold proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1960. He was an airplane mechanic and enjoyed talking about the planes on which he worked for the rest of his life.
Following his military service, Harold worked hard at several jobs before embarking on a successful career at Dresser-Rand in Wellsville, where he worked for over 25 years. He was a skilled machinist and packer carpenter for turbines.
Harold had a passion for woodworking and was known for his skill in making wood furniture. He also enjoyed putting together and framing puzzles, as well as taking long walks to stay active. These hobbies brought him joy and fulfillment throughout his retirement years.
