Slavador S. Paneda, 70, of Peaceful Lane
Slavador S. Paneda, 70, of Peaceful Lane, passed away Sunday (Sept. 15, 2024) in the Bradford Manor, after a lengthy illness.
Born August 7, 1954, in Rosaio, Philippines, he was a son of Dominador and Fortunata Subala Paneda. He married Yvonne D. Doane, who died Dec. 9, 2012.
He was employed with Ethan Allen Co. of Eldred, and the former Pittsburgh Corning Co., Port Allegany, before his retirement.
He is survived by three sisters, Virginia Paneda, Gloria Fernandz, and Teresita Paneda all of the Philippines; and a sister-in-law, Linda Ingram of Bradford; two brothers-in-law, Leslie Doane of Roulette, Jack (Judy) Shonts of Cyclone; nephew, Donald (Kris) Shonts and niece, Katie (Larry) Saar both of Cyclone; and special friend, Mike Wankel of Rixford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Yvonne, and a brother, Edward Paneda; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Lynn and Marion Doane; brother-in-law, Gregory Doane; and two sisters-in-law; Pamela Doane and Bonnie Shonts.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later time & date to announced.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
