Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries’ Show Off fundraiser
Fundraiser for animals in need this Saturday in Wellsboro
There’s something for everyone at Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries’ Show Off fundraiser this Saturday, Sept. 21, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Grand Canyon Veterinary Clinic’s grounds at 11765 Route 6, Wellsboro (across from Weis).
“We’re incredibly excited to bring back this event to benefit the lost, abandoned and at-risk animals we assist through Second Chance,” said Jim Howe, Second Chance’s board president. “Last year was so much fun for both dogs and people of all ages.”
The Show Off is centered around a series of competitions for dogs that everyone can come watch, but the event also offers kids’ games and arts and crafts, a painting activity for dogs, photo scenes, food including pup cups, local vendors offering handmade goods and dog-related business information, and raffles for chances to win prizes. The big-ticket prize is an animal crate table from Wayfair.
Entry is a $5 donation for adults; kids under 12 are free. Dog owners can also still sign up to compete at www.secondchanceas.org/show-off.
