Yolanda R. Troupe “beloved wife, mother, and grandmother”
Yolanda R. Troupe, 78, of Shinglehouse, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Monday, September 2, 2024.
Born on Saturday, March 9, 1946 in Compton, California, she was a daughter of Antonio and Anita Rangel Gamboa. On April 30, 1985 in San Bernardino, California, she married Theodore R. “Ted” Troupe, who survives.
Yolanda was a graduate of Pacific High School in San Bernardino and also attended Valley Community College in San Bernardino.
She was an executive assistant in the San Bernardino School District and later was a buyer for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service at Randolph Air Force Base in Texas.
Yolanda enjoyed decorating her home, making artificial floral arrangements, and playing cards.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband; a daughter, Shelly (David) Rundell of Longwood, Florida; three sons, Daniel Mervar and Christopher Mervar, both of Florida and William Mervar of Tennessee; a granddaughter, Alyssa (Sean) Ezell; two grandsons, Aiden and Max Mervar; a great-granddaughter, Siveya; and a niece and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to her parents, Yolanda was predeceased by a sister, Georgia Barnes.
A Celebration of Yolanda’s life will be held on a date and place to be announced.
Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Yolanda’s name may be made to the Shinglehouse Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 98, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.
Yolanda’s husband entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
