Turn Books into Laughs: Join the Badly Recreated Book Cover Contest at Barbara Moscato Brown Library August 30, 2024
Barbara Moscato Brown Library is excited to announce a creative and whimsical contest, inviting book lovers of all ages to showcase their imagination by poorly recreating their favorite book covers. From now until September 30, 2024, participants are encouraged to submit their entries via the library’s Facebook or Instagram page for a chance to win exciting prizes, including brand-new books and Amazon gift cards.
Participants can join in the fun by posting a picture that includes both the original book cover and their unique interpretation, along with the phrase “Badly Recreated Book Cover.” An example is available to inspire you to create your own unique book cover.
Participating is easy. Step 1: Badly recreate a book cover of choice. Step 2: Post the picture, along with original, to the library’s Facebook or Instagram pages. Step 3: Wait for us to announce a winner!
In addition to submitting entries, the community is invited to join the fun by voting for their favorite creations. Simply “like” your favorite photos shared on our social media to cast your vote.
“We really want you to have fun with it,” expressed Yelena Kisler, Librarian at Barbara Moscato Brown Library. “Use whatever materials you have at home. It doesn’t have to be perfect – in fact, we encourage you to think outside the box and let your creativity run wild.”
Entries will be evaluated at the end of September, with winners selected across multiple age categories: 0-5, 6-12, 13-18, and Adult. For more information or any inquiries, please contact the library at 814-486-8011 to speak with a friendly library staff member.
