PennDOT – District 3 – Resurfacing Project Continues on Route 87 in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County
Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised a milling and resurfacing project continues on Route 87 in Montoursville Borough, Fairfield Township, Upper Fairfield Township and Plunketts Creek Township, Lycoming County.
The week of Monday, August 19, 2024, the contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker will continue resurfacing operations along Route 87 between the Interstate 180 overpass in Montoursville Borough and north to Pier 87 Bar and Grill in Plunketts Creek Township.
Work will be performed during both daylight and overnight hours.
- Resurfacing between Snyder’s Farm and north of Pier 87 Bar and Grill will be performed between the hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, weather permitting.
- Resurfacing between Interstate 180 and Snyder’s Farm will be performed between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed.
Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $2.6 million resurfacing project. Work includes milling and resurfacing of the roadway, base repairs, drainage work, guide rail and sign upgrades. The project is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2024, weather permitting.
