ECCF’s Heindl Fund donates to Ridgway Firemen to support Bicentennial fireworks display
When the Ridgway Fire Department called upon the Rose E. and Dennis Heindl Memorial Fund to help ensure that the fireworks display for the Ridgway Bicentennial celebration could proceed as planned, Denny Heindl was more than happy to make that happen for the residents of Ridgway and surrounding area. The Heindl fund is a donor advised fund held at the Elk County Community Foundation.
Mr. Heindl was on hand to present the check and remarked, “Establishing a fund at the Community Foundation is a great way to honor your loved ones and support your community now and in the future. Donor advised funds give us the opportunity to support great community projects like the fireworks display celebrating 200 years of growth and prosperity for our Ridgway community.”
The Ridgway Fire Department’s Bicentennial Celebration is being held June 17-22, featuring the 91st carnival and Bicentennial Parade, along with the fireworks display on Thursday, June 20 starting at 10 p.m.
