Margaret G. Carlson, 91, of Highland Rd. in Kane, PA
Margaret G. Carlson, of Highland Rd. in Kane, PA passed away Sunday (June 9) at UPMC-Kane. Born March 12, 1933 in Kane, she is the daughter of the late Oscar and Esther (Frambarg) Carlson.
Margaret had worked at several different places through her life, including Stackpole, Affiliated Industries and also Kane Systems. She loved to read, crochet and socialize. She also liked crafting, doing puzzles and taking part in the activities at the Lutheran Home where she recently resided. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved to wrap presents and decorate the house.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Don) Davidson of Kane, a granddaughter, Deana Carlson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl, Anger, Arthur, Irwin, Axel and Guy Carlson and seven sisters, Hilma Sacherich, Marian McDowell, Slema Mohney, Hildur Mohney, Anna Bradybaugh, Julia Woodford and Shirley O’Neil.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home on Friday (June 14) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral ceremony will be follow at 1:00 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Calvin Cook officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
