Robert James Kalacinski, “Bob”, age 44, of Gaines, PA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 3, 2024. 

Born May 27, 1980 in Wellsboro, he was the son of Robert A. Kalacinski and Kimberly (King) VanGorder. 

Bob graduated from Galeton High School and served in the US Air Force. He subsequently achieved numerous advanced professional certifications and was the Vice President of Data Management Professional for Genesis Global, being one of five in the country with his expertise, Commander of the Galeton VFW, a Brother Free Mason, member of Galeton Moose Lodge and American Legion. 

Bob was a locally loved, self-taught Pit Master, wanna be sushi chef, avid fisherman and outdoorsman, professional procrastinator, he was loved by all as a husband, father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Bob would light up a room with his “Woo!” the moment he walked in. He could start a friendly conversation with anyone. He is cherished by friends, family and coworkers.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara E. Kalacinski; children, Bobby, Taylor, Micah, Aaliyah and Maria; his mother, Kimberly VanGorder of Wellsboro; brother, Christopher Kalacinski of Galeton; niece, Brielle; two nephews, Trey and Jayce; grandmother, Patricia McGill and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Kalacinski. 

Family will receive friends at the Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 W. Main St., Westfield on Friday 4:00 – 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, 1:00 PM.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
