Phyllis M. Keech

Phyllis M. Keech, 82, of Taylor Dr., Eldred, PA passed away Sunday (May 26, 2024) in Buffalo General Hospital.

    Born November 2, 1941, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Harland V. and Gertrude M. Boser Gross. On June 29, 1974, in Allegany, NY, she married Albert L. Keech, who died Sept. 14, 2003.

    She was a lifetime resident of the area.

     Phyllis was employed as a housekeeper with the Midtown Motel, Port Allegany, and later with the Comfort Inn, Bradford, as head housekeeper, before her retirement.

     She was a member of the First Church of God, Eldred, where she volunteered many years with the summertime Bible school.  She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, & baking, where she was known for her peanut butter cups. She also collected dolls, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially never forgetting anyone’s birthday.

    Surviving are three sons, Philip A. (Robin) Goss of Wasilla, AK, Michael J. (Eva) Goss of South Korea, and Todd A. (Nicole) Goss of Dillsburg, PA; nine grandchildren: PJ (Patty) Goss, Albert Goss, Nathan (Alexa Doty) Goss, Kimberly (Eric) Malloy, Manikha and Yejin Goss, Carrie (Josh) Clayton, Kyle (Kay) Goss, and Kaitlyn (Tyler Wardle) Goss; and 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Jack and Thomas Gross.

      A memorial service will be held at a later time & date to be announced.
