Erie, Pa—Donald D. Kelley, 74, of Wolverine Ave., passed away on Monday (December 12th, 2022) at home surrounded by his family.
Born January 18th, 1948 in Olean he was a son of Ivan D. and Imogene Phipps Kelley.
Mr. Kelley was a 1965 graduate of Otto-Eldred Highschool. He was a veteran, having served with the US Army from 1967 to 1969 as a military policeman.
Following his military service he was employed for over 36 years by Bell of Pennsylvania, which later became Verizon, as an install and repair technician prior to his retirement in 2002.
Donald was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and had enjoyed rollerblading and bicycling, as well as doing crafts and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are 2 sons, Brian (Ashley) Kelley of Bradford, and Kevin (Tiffany) Kelley of Wilton, NY; five grandchildren, Brendon and Brett, Timothy and Ryenn, and Jackson; and one brother, Robert Kelley of Farmers Valley; and one sister, Debra Kelley of Eldred; and a great grand daughter Leighanne.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Ann Rice, and a brother in law, Roger Rice; and a sister in law, Kelly Backus Kelley.
Friends may call on Sunday (December 18th, 2022) at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm, at which time funeral services will be held. Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 887 of Eldred Honor Guard following the funeral service on Sunday.
