John Hollingshead, 76, of Spruce Ave. in Kane, PA passed away Friday (May 17) at UPMC-Kane.  Born Sept. 26, 1947 in Kane, he is the son of the late John and H. Jane (Hahn) Hollingshead.

John did many things throughout his life.  He had worked for IBM after he got out of school, then he sailed the Great Lakes.  He had also worked for Stackpole and the Allegheny Particle Board Plant and most recently he had been employed by Constable Furniture.

He is survived by three sisters, Nancy (Duane) Arcaro of Ashtabula, OH, Elaine Sadler of Webster, NY and Robin Thomson of New York City, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother in childhood, Robert Hollingshead.

A Celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
