The Port Allegany Women’s Club held their April meeting at the Port  Allegany Senior Center.  Following the soup supper, the group welcomed Alexis Reed, guest speaker for the evening.  The month of April is dedicated to honoring all of the volunteers in our communities as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the month.  

Since April is National Volunteer Month, Mrs. Reed  talked about volunteering in a small town and also about the Music Department’s recent trip to New York City.  She is pictured here with PAWC members Dotty Anderson, (Mrs. Reed), Sylvia Cole and Joyce Stehle.   

The club is currently planning the annual birthday banquet to be held May 1 at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church Educational Unit.  Deadline for reservations is April 25.  Contact Pam Fischer at 814-598-3132 to make your reservation.
