David L. DeLullo, Jr., 70, of Silver Creek Road, St. Marys, PA
David L. DeLullo, Jr., 70, of Silver Creek Road, St. Marys, PA passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, with his family by his side.
He was born November 9, 1953, in Ridgway, son of Diane G. DeLullo and the late David L. DeLullo, Sr. David was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1971 and Penn State University, Class of 1974.
On December 22, 1986, the iron horse cowboy married his horseless cowgirl, Sara Lion Schlimm, and then remarried Sara DeLullo on September 28, 1996.
In addition to the love of his life, David is survived by his loving mother, Diane DeLullo, his son, David L. DeLullo, III and his fiancé, Melissa Moore, a step-son Michael Christopher Schlimm, his sisters, Diane Krise (Michael) of St. Marys and Susan Leithner (Kenneth) of St. Marys; brothers: John C. DeLullo of Weedville, James M. DeLullo (Laura) of St. Marys, Richard S. DeLullo (Linda) of St. Marys, Michael J. DeLullo (Jodi) of St. Marys, Robert P. DeLullo (Julie) of St. Marys, and Charles W. DeLullo (Shelley) of St. Marys; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his father, David L. DeLullo, Sr., July 2, 2017.
David had a tremendous impact on all those he encountered in the community. He was the founder of COMTEC Mfg. Inc, a powdered metal facility where he was proud to design products that were unique to the PM Industry. His career dream was to purchase an 825-Ton press and was successful in designing and building the Ferrari red facility to house it.
David lived life to the fullest with an enthusiastic appetite for knowledge and new challenges. He was a wine maker, chicken farmer, drag racer with hand crafted motorcycle, pond builder with white sandy beach, and an avid collector of Winchester rifles. He truly enjoyed sharing his knowledge with family and friends.
David’s most recent passion was being a grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren Addilynn and Jett. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 12:30 PM with the Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery with a gathering to follow at the Bavarian Hills Golf Course.
A private visitation for David will be held for his family at Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home.
