Bonnie A. Nichols, 96, formerly of 656 South Avenue, Bradford, PA passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Bradford Manor.
Born January 13, 1928, in Dayton WV, she was a loving daughter of the late Burtis and Artrolia (Chisler) Moore.
On October 6, 1947, in Clarksburg, WV, she married Dr. William D. Nichols (Nick), who preceded her in death on April 23, 2003.
Bonnie was a dedicated wife, homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She had a passion for gardening, she was an amazing baker, she loved being surrounded by family and mentoring children. In earlier days, she and Nick would spend time boating at the lake and enjoying life.
Surviving is one daughter, Rebecca L. (Nichols) Skinner, of Albuquerque, NM, six grandchildren, Amanda Nichols of Philadelphia, Gabriella Skinner of San Francisco, CA, Sophia Lauren Skinner Garcia of Honolulu, HI, Mikenzee Nichols, Bradyn Nichols, and Zeth Nichols all of Rock Hill, SC, one daughter-in-law Michelle Nichols (Geoff), of Rock Hill SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, David W. Nichols, who died April 21, 2013, and William Geoffrey Nichols, who died February 1, 2023, and four sisters, Cleda (Moore) Vecellio, Frankie (Moore) Stewart, Glenda (Moore) Mahaney, Martha Dell (Moore) Toothman.
Immediate family will be invited to attend a Celebration of Bonnie’s Life at a later date in the summer with Rev. Rick Price, Pastor of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
