AUDITIONS FOR HAMILTON-GIBSON WOMEN’S PROJECT PRODUCTION OF “WOMEN” ARE SUNDAY, MONDAY, AND TUESDAY JAN. 28, 29 & 30
Auditions for Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project production of “Women,” a collection of original works written, directed, and produced by local women, are next Sunday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. all in the Gallery of the Warehouse Theatre
at 3 Central Avenue in Wellsboro.
The Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project received a total of 48 original written submissions from 18 different writers. A selection of the submitted pieces will be performed.
Directors are: Lilace Guignard, Dawn McClelland, Michelle Lockwood, Rachel James and Kacy Hagan.
With moments of poignancy, humor, and insight, the production is comprised of a number of short theatrical pieces that reflect various facets of women’s experiences.
Among the experiences highlighted in the show are aging, societal expectations of women, judgment of women’s bodies, struggles with weight, dating, parenting, balancing work and motherhood, domestic violence, and misogyny.
Don’t miss an opportunity to be part of these memorable and thoughtful performances.
“We have roles for women and men, late teens to senior citizens,” said Producer Kacy Hagan. “We will also be casting two young children, ages 5 to 8. No prior experience on stage is necessary.”
The show will be cast in an ensemble manner, meaning that each person will play a variety of roles throughout each performance.
