Dean S. Stewart, 83, formerly of 61 Linwood Ave., Bradford, PA passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Olean General Hospital.
Born April 25, 1940, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Francis L. and Lillian (Carrow) Stewart. He was a 1959 graduate of Bradford High School.
In August of 1966 he enlisted in the United States Army. He served in Korea during the War and was honorably discharged on September 30, 1968.
On November 6, 1966, in Bradford, he married Rose V. (Pessia) Stewart who survives..
Dean had been employed at numerous companies, including Century Home Center, Graham Florist, and he retired as a bus driver for the ATA. Dean enjoyed restoring old cars and spending time with his family.
Surviving is one daughter, Wanda (Bob) Nortum, one step-daughter, Janet (Robert) Nearing, his twin sister, Deanna (Wade) Burton, two grandchildren, Aimee McClintick, David Couch, three step-grandchildren, Eric (Barb) Nearing, Victoria (Randall) Height, and Cynthia (Stanford) Townsend, and several step-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and a special niece, Jan (Gregg) Blakeslee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Roger Stewart who died in 2011.
Friends will be invited to attend Military Honors at Willow Dale Cemetery in the spring.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
