Shelby C. Henderson, age 74, of Knoxville, PA passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

Born on October 15, 1949 in Corning, NY, she was a daughter to the late Charles and Mable (Wescott) Nichols.

She loved being outdoors; whether that was camping, fishing, or going yard-saling. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, gardening and canning, sewing and spending time with friends and family.

Shelby and her husband, Thomas Henderson, were members at the Knoxville VFW and after his passing, she continued attending Friday Nights Fish Fry when she had the chance.

Shelby is survived by her children, Robert Henderson of Knoxville and Laura Henderson-Hackler of Felton, PA; grandchildren, Katie Henderson of Elmira, NY, Jenny Henderson of Barton, NY, Allison and Tristan Ruvels-Henderson both of Wisconsin, Amanda Hackler-Stubs of Felton, PA and Jeffrey Hackler of Felton, PA; great-grandchildren, James Michael Henderson of Sayre, PA and Samuel Austin of Barton, NY; brothers, Joe (Joyce) Nichols of Lawrenceville and David (Jean) Nichols of Knoxville; nieces and nephews, Chad and Stacey Nichols both of Knoxville and Jennifer and Justin Nichols both of Lawrenceville.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas H. Henderson on December 8, 2003; both her parents; and sister, Dale Nichols.

Per the family’s wishes, there will be no services held.
