Sandra M. “Sandy” (McMullen) Cooper, age 77, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Saturday, December 30, 2023. 

She was born on May 13, 1946 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of the late James A. McMullen and Thelma M. (Fish) McMullen and was the wife of the late Gary E. Cooper who passed away in 2003. 

Sandy was an insurance agent with Wilkinson Dunn Company, Wellsboro, PA for over 20 years. 

She enjoyed reading, bowling, traveling, knitting, going on cruises, spending time at their cottage on Seneca Lake and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Sandy is survived by her mother: Thelma McMullen of Wellsboro, PA, two sons: Gary (Amy) Cooper of Wellsboro, PA, Jim Cooper of Wellsboro, PA, two brothers: James (Martha) McMullen of Butler, PA, Ted (Pam) McMullen of Waynesboro, VA, sister-in-law: Ann McMullen of Ellicott City, MD, four grandchildren: Austin (Paige Weiss) Cooper, Joshua Cooper, Arynn (Austin) Hendrickson, Anthony (Mackinsey) Cooper, three great-grandchildren: Matthew Cooper, Onaleigha Mae Cooper and Judah Smith. 

She was predeceased by a brother: Edward McMullen and a great-granddaughter: Aurora Cooper. 

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Brett Kennedy officiating.  Interment will be in the Middlebury Union Cemetery, Middlebury Center, PA.
